    Packing for hospital

If I wasn't sleeping (which was most of the time), I was walking. I didn't even spend any time on my phone (which is very unlike me). I packed a whole bunch of stuff that didn't even make it out of the bag. The only thing I did use that I brought were throat spray (for dry mouth), crocs (for walking the halls) and lip balm. On the ride home, I used the small pillow I brought to hold against my tum for when we drove over bumps. I didn't even use the toothbrush/toothpaste I brought (too tired)...and had stank mouth as a result, lol.

    Any teachers out there?

@PuraVida37 and @Cyt thanks for sharing your experiences. I have taken 2 weeks off so far and I will see how I’m feeling at my 1 week post op with my surgeon. Being a high school teacher, it is kind of nice because I can stay stationed in one area of my room and have my kids come to me for stuff or help me pass things out. I have been fibbing to some colleagues as well; I’ve told people I’m having a ulcer removed and they seem to believe it.

    It’s got stuck!

My first attempt at chicken breast was awful. Last night I had a baked chicken thigh and it was sooooo much better. The thighs are dark meat (but not too dark) so they retain a lot more moisture. I couldn't even eat a whole thigh but it was good. I had it with a side of creamed spinach and the multiple flavors made it that much more enjoyable.

I had mine on March 4. It went very well. I am doing good. You just have to remember to drink very very slowly Post-op. I was a little surprised by the soreness after the surgery and my stomach was distended. I found that a heating pad helped a lot. for the first few days I was taking Tylenol at regular intervals. As of today I have no pain at all. I'm not taking any medication for pain. I am just focused on trying to make sure I get all my fluids which is hard after the operation. I just have to go slow.Good luck everyone!

I like it! I used mine to make protein jello shots!

I’ve kept the surgery quiet. I don’t want to deal with the questions before hand, I have enough nerves about it to hear it from everyone I know too.

    Sex after sleeve surgery

My husband and I waited til week 3 or 4 when my incisions no longer hurt and my stomach didn't feel tightly sewn up inside. We obviously still went easy with it and doggy style worked out great. As silly as this sounds, beforehand, I was afraid that contracting my stomach muscles during orgasm would hurt or damage something but that wasn't the case at all. Hope you and your hubby have figured out what works for you!
