    Anxiety through the roof! Help!

Your anxiety is TOTALLY normal! I'm a mom, I get it. I was pretty terrified too. But I am now 10 months post op and have NO REGRETS! You will get through this! I want to piggy back on the person who said there is no safer place than an OR table. I agree. If your surgeon thought there was a reason why you might not make it, and that the risk was greater than having a successful outcome, they wouldn't let you have surgery. I know you are scared...but do it anyway. Conquer the fear! You're going to learn so much about yourself and your capabilities after this surgery. It's as much a self love adventure as it is a weight loss one!

I dont think there's much harm in extending your liquid diet if your happy and healing well! But I will say this, eating purees and such has helped me feel more more energetic and human. The extra calories are helpful. Also, I only get about 30 g of protein from food which based on a 400 calorie diet is about right. It will go up as I can eat more at one sitting etc. I can't stomach most protein shakes and avoid them like the plague but I do have them if needed. This guy breaks protein down quite well. Washing your garments

I have 2 arm garments and 3 abdominal ones. I wash the set i have on before i shower and just put a fresh set on afterwards. Im the worst about remembering to move my wash to the dryer, so i need the extra sets. im almost 8 weeks and i’ve been wearing all of mine at least 22 hours a day, every day (though there was a three day stint when i went compression-less due to experimentation AND laziness, but I went back to wearing them cuz TBH, i like them. Lately, i’ve started wearing a “base” tanktop underneath all of it, as I start to smell ripe if I get too hot or sweaty in these non-breathable fabrics. The cotton tank is easily changed out of if its not shower time yet.

    Feeling Discouraged

DON'T GIVE UP! I started this process in June last year at 462lbs. They sent me home with a diet and required me to lose 50lbs, go thru sleep study for apnea (now have CPAP machine), have a colonoscopy, do these strengthening exercises, extensive lab work, mental evaluation to determine if I was a good candidate and 3 classes to understand it all! By November I had lost 60lbs and was never as motivated to get this done and get on with my life as I had been the last 4 months! With all my ducks in a row, I let all involved know I had done what I was supposed to do and was ready to schedule surgery. Two weeks later I was told they are currently scheduling out to APRIL! I freaked out and made enough noise (not rudely) that I finally got a surgery date 2 weeks ago of the 20th of this month. I got discouraged and was frustrated and it led to about 1 1/2 weeks of not caring and eating my way through the emotions. But that's what got me here in the first place and I didn't want to go back. I have currently lost 75lbs and started my 2 week pre-op full liquid liver reduction diet today! Stand up for yourself and go let them know you mean business! You deserve this!

since you have reflux, this decision should be a no-brainer. RNY. I would not even consider sleeve. P.S. I had gastric bypass for that very reason. I had GERD pre-surgery, and there's no way I wanted to risk it getting worse. I see a lot of people revising from sleeve to RNY for that very reasons - sometimes people who never even had GERD prior to surgery. I hav no regrets at all - I'm very happy with my RNY.
