    Coronary Artery CT Scan

You should be fine. Reactions to the contrast are very low. It makes you feel warm in your who-ha area and maybe in your tummy but it isn't alarming. It literally takes only a couple of minutes. They'll start an iv. That's the worst part, but it's not a big deal. Good luck! It will be awesome to have that baseline scan!

    Low iron & vitamin D

I had low vitamin D lonnngg before surgery. Took supplements on and off. The surgeon gave me those 50,000 IU prescription vitamin D pills to take pre-op. Now I take 4,000 IU vitamin d pills daily, post-op.

    What’s normal?

I'm not a revision patient, but at over four years out I can eat anything. Even at two years out, I could eat anything. Most of the restrictions and food intolerances are in the first few months post-surgery. as far as volume, you can eat more and more as time goes on (although just because you CAN doesn't always mean you SHOULD). Right now I would characterize myself as a "light eater". I highly doubt anyone would guess I've had WLS (whereas early out, it was obvious that something was going on). I eat normally, but fairly lightly. Not any different than my regular weight-conscious, normal weight friends eat, really. If I go out, I typically get an appetizer - or a salad - or I'll order an entree and bring half of it home. Most of my naturally thin or weight conscious friends do that, too.

    Number 2?

I think everyone is different but for me i was able to go (TMI but it was like water) wishing 4days out of the hospital. And real solid #2 once I was advanced to soft/solids stage 3 but just this weekend I suffered from constipation to where I cried (yup it was that bad). Today marks exactly 4 weeks Post Op :)

Anyone iron deficient? I have been a bit chilled since before WLS? I alternatively attributed it to anemic or a sympathetic neurological disorder usually depending on my MD Most likely it is the latter but since I don’t like any of the treatments I live with that. - it is almost like a low grade pain and at time penetrates into my core Sweaters do not really help but getting any moving air off my skin does. Hyper sensitivity to sensations

Don’t want to eat, I mean drink

Part of what you are experiencing is the natural and normal phenomenon of post surgical bowel sounds and gurgles. LOL. I have it and I'm 18 months out. It does usually get a little better. Stick to easy. Protein Smoothies Protein frappacinos and teacinos Iced protein coffee Blended soups (added protein powder) Canned cream soups (added protein powder) Ricotta Bake Cottage Cheese + apple sauce or sugar free preserves Greek Yogurt + apple sauce or sugar free preserves Making tuna or chicken salad then whizzing it up in a mini food processor. So good actually. Just a smooth texture. But taste is awesome!

I know if I eat too much or too fast I do burp but it’s not painful, only uncomfortable. I hope you are feeling better. Maybe it was the mix of fat and spice or a certain kind of fish?

    Psychologist appointment in 2 weeks!

I just had to take a 100 question computer test with lots of questions. Then I had to sit with the psychologist for about 30 minutes and talk about my weight loss struggles and talk about how this surgery would not solve my food addiction and I need to ensure I do the head work as part of this process. I am still a month out from surgery but already know if I see myself slipping to my old ways I will be scheduling some time with the psychologist on a regular basis if needed. Good luck to you but it should be a quick and easy process for you!

Maybe all of this plus the rice. I've heard rice can be very difficult for some and that it "might" swell in our tums? You might have even temporarily blocked up your stoma with the seaweed or the rice.
