Hello Everyone - I am one-week post-op today, and I am now only 2 pounds lighter than I was last week. That is ok with me, and I am so happy I had the "tune-up" surgery. I do need to wear an abdominal binder getting on and out of bed. I return to work this week and zero pain. I am hopeful and positive that the weight will continue to come off. During my Pre-Op Liquid diet, I shed 25 lbs, so I am feeling good about that. I have broken my weight goals into 35-pound goals. I am 27 pounds from target 1.

    Heard back from Surgeons office

They say I am going to skip the Psych stuff, and the usual longer diet since my BMI is 36. I will have to meet with a nutritionist and do a 3 day diet before surgery. The gal I talked to said she would talk to the DR. on Wednesday and then get back with me to schedule my surgery. Whoot!

Hi I was just revised a week ago and i have the same amount of lapro port sites, and hospital stay was the same length. But obviously the specifics of the two surgeries are very different, even more so because your anatomy is already altered. Recovery, for me, has been much smoother so far because i had realistic expectations about pain management and took care of that immediately. I would say it seems be similar to the intial surgery for recovery, But GERD appears to be gone so far. However IDK about weightloss aspect unfortunately Good Luck 💜

Day 1 on the Pre Op Diet!

Hi ! My sleeve surgery is 3rd of aug so pretty close to yours. I'm sort of struggling with the pre op diet atm. I think knowing I need to avoid alot of foods just makes me want them more [emoji85]. But I just keep thinking of why I'm doing it. You can do this ! Pre-op work out

I have also been hitting the gym hard, the past 6 weeks. My surgery is on July 31. My last session will be the 26th. My personal trainer said, because of the low calorie pre-surgical diet we are going to change things the last week. I will find out what that is today. She does a lot of isometrics with me, so I think we are going to focus on flexibility, strength and balance and not fat burning. We'll see! I am just going to walk and do some light exercise on my three day clear liquid diet, just prior to the surgery.

Way to go, 2TF!!!! You are doing great. That makes a 27 pound loss in just a few weeks time. Keep following your program and I have no doubt that you will hit everyone of your goals.

    Weights vs measures

I posted about measurements yesterday. They're a good way to track success other than just the scale. Mine haven't had a lot of movement in the last 6 weeks even though I've lost weight, but overall they've changed. Plus, I haven't exercised in 3 weeks because of the heat wave, so I guess I need to get back to toning up at the gym.

    Mucus in stool

No, I haven't noticed this. You might want to mention it to your doctor.
