    Stalled stalled stalled

I was the stallingest staller who stalled. I stuck with my program and it did come off, just at a snails pace some months. I never had a big drop after a stall, it was usually 1 maybe 2 pounds. Everyone is different. My statistics next to my name are a little misleading. I have lost 91 pounds, however that is from my highest weight 5 months prior to surgery. I lost weight while I was qualifying for surgery and had surgery at 204 pounds. I’ve lost a total of 69 pounds in 11 months, 16 of that alone has been over the past 2 months. I dug deep and got very serious about exercise the past few months. Here is a graph of my loss that might help, I have posted it before, it is from a month ago. My surgery was on 8/13 this ends on 6/3. I only entered data when I lost weight and omitted 1-2 lb fluctuations to stay sane. There is a thread called, embrace the stall on this board that is helpful.

Hi! Everyone's plan is very diverse but some rules for WLS patients given to us by our various Teams are: Protein: 60 g- 100g Fiber: 20g Carbs: under 50 g for Ketosis (but some like to go a low as possible) Fat: under 40 g (but some like to go a low as possible to prevent gallbladder issues) You can save foods/ recipes in MFP so they are available for you to use often as entries. Try to get the initial entry spot on so yoy won't have to fix it later. It can be created under my foods, meals, recipes or simply use the most recent list You can also enter under multu add instead of one at a time once you have a list going, this really saves time. Check out all the settings of MFP especially the goals menu & Dont forget to log your water intake too! 💜You've got this, congratulations for being aware enough to seek info and ask for help💜

Bariatric surgery was a big mistake

I'm having surgery August 5th (sleeve) and I'm honestly so EXCITED that none of the shade bothers me. I'm ready to get on the losers bench and I've never had an emotional attachment to food (gained the weight from being on a medicine I'm no longer on) and I have read SO much I feel like I know this process inside and out. I'm going to ROCK this !😎

Yesterday I drove 2.5 hours to meet up with my very dear friend that had gastric bypass only 3 months before I had my sleeve. We enjoyed our day together shopping for new clothes, talking about life and the joys and struggles of WLS. She has also lost 100lbs.

I know I'm relatively new to this process and the forum (haven't had surgery yet), but I really do appreciate the OP's post. I was supposed to have surgery next week, but I postponed it until December for many of the reasons the OP discussed. I have been "practicing" eating how I would after surgery for the last month and a half, and it is honestly a nightmare compared to how I used to eat. I have to relearn everything, and am finding it wildly restrictive in eating and drinking times with my crazy busy work schedule, and having a very hard time getting fluids in, etc... I realized a week ago that I am completely unprepared for surgery at this point and the lifestyle change it brings, which is why I pushed it back to Dec. If I had done the surgery next week without all the intensive "practice" I am doing now, the OPs post may very well have been mine instead of this reply. What my dietitian, and surgeon, and psyche eval all told/taught me up to this point is nothing compared to actually eating and drinking in the way they are describing. I have decades of eating and drinking habits to undo. Thankfully I did give it a full practice run for 1+ months to know how hard it is (for me and my schedule anyway, maybe others find it easier). I think the OP is in a similar place, but didn't do the "practice" eating and drinking before hand, and I absolutely understand much of what he/she is upset about. They might be a troll, but that initial post has stuck with me for a week since I read it, and I very much relate to the difficulties they are describing, and wish them the best in their journey.

Bariatric surgery was a big mistake

If you were trying to warn people off bariatric surgery with this post I think you've done the opposite. For starters, I'm not even sure you're real. Second, if you got a major surgery such as this without doing any research... that's on you. Six food trucks and there was NOTHING you could eat? You sound like you're purposely being difficult because you're so angry. There were no hot dogs? Pull it off the bun and eat half. No big deal. A taco truck? Eat the meat & cheese, skip the shell. You are being purposely difficult in some attempt to punish everyone for your anger. Mother's Day - you couldn't go out for breakfast? Why on earth not? Assuming you were 4 weeks post op by then you could have ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and a side of cottage cheese instead of hash browns. IF the point of the holiday was to spend it with loved ones, that's what you do. If you're so mortified by the waitress asking if you enjoyed your meal ask for a to-go box the moment they set it down and pack up what you won't eat. You look like a fool carrying a water bottle - are you serious with this? American's have a drink in hand ALL THE TIME. Soda, coffee cups, frap cups. People are constantly walking around with drinks. Im not sure if I hope you're real or not. If you're not real, you are a real sad individual to come on here and troll people trying to improve their lives. Get a new hobby. If you are real... please get help. For the sake of your family, please.

Hey everyone. This is my first post to this forum. I am one week post op, and I am feeling so down. Of course, my love of food is partially to blame. But, I live alone and I'm pretty much going through this by myself. Yes, I have friends who live far away that are supportive, but I still have the "sads". I am afraid for a few reasons. 1. I'm afraid that I'm gonna lose my hair. I've grown my locs for 7 years and nothing would be more devastating than to have to cut them off. 2. I'm in the full liquid diet stage and idk what to think. I had cream of wheat, about 6 bites, and I didn't get full (I don't think) but I stopped because I was afraid I would overdo it. 3. I'm extremely tired. Even though I work from home, I'm afraid I won't get through the day on my first day back tomorrow. 4. I'll be starting my vitamins tomorrow and I'm terrified because nobody seems to be able to tolerate them. Idk, yall. I just want to live a normal life and I can't see it. I need to see it. Thanks for listening -ATA Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
