I’m just going to brag a bit. My wife had been an angel. And I’m kind of a pain in the butt as a patient. As relieved as I was to wake up post op to her I was even more reassured as I waited to be wheeled into Surgery that she’d be there afterwards. A good partner makes such a difference. Cheers to those that support us!

@joannaspanner Things that folks need to know to answer this question for you: Are you still tracking your food/Protein/Etc? How many calories are you consuming? Are you still tracking your water intake? How much water are you consuming? Are you exercising? How often? How much? Cardio only or Cardio and Weight lifting? Somethings to consider. As we lose weight and get older, our BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) decreases. BMR is the amount of calories you need to exist, think in a coma, alive but not moving. You can check yours here https://www.active.com/fitness/calculators/bmr As we get older and lose weight we need less calories, which means we need to either exercise more, or consume less. If you aren't tracking... start tracking again. The math is pretty simple, If you burn more calories than you consume, you'll lose weight. Water intake, our bodies cannot process fat if we don't have enough water to do so. So if you aren't tracking your water or aren't getting 64-128oz of water, start tracking and increase. Daily movement at work etc is great, but it's not really enough for weight loss, you should be in the gym at least an hour a day. And that brings me to muscle mass. Larger muscles burn more calories than smaller ones, so if you build some muscle, you will burn more calories the rest of the day than you would without larger muscles.

Just wanted to share a progress pic

My cousin had wls and lost her butt, I have been terrified of losing mine. And I mean this in these most respectful way, but you still have yours, and that gives me hope. You look amazing. I'm 5'2 and my heaviest was 230. I'm 2 months out and I'm a little around or before 198 (haven't weighed at my surgeon in a few weeks) Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

So you are a bono fide Georgia peach. Georgia always seems like Sleepy Time Down South. which,i quite a miss-nomer because Atlanta has become a very happening place. Seems like every, time I turn around. people are flying through Hartsfield-Jackson on their way to somewhere else.😝

Yeah I didn’t add sugar free popsicles I’ve had a few of those and tolerated! I haven’t taken pain meds since the day I left the hospital I just don’t like the way they make me feel! I did however, just eat some tomato soup and so far so good as far as tolerating it!! I do move (what the doctor considers enough) even through the pain! It’s so hard to explain thank you
