    realistic time off work

I am in HR so I sit at a desk most of the day. I took off 1 week initially and wasn't ready to come back. I came back for half a day and had no energy and my incisions were still hurting. I was holding my abdomen while I walked. I took another week off. 2 weeks was enough. If i had it my way, I would've loved 3 weeks off to be fully 100 and get into a habit for myself but I couldn't take off that much time with the work I do...

I'm 7 years out. I had one period of small regain - 8 pounds, after my dad died and while I was suffering postpartum depression. It was solely due to poor eating habits. Regain is due to not overcoming the initial causes of our obesity. Eating around the sleeve. Yes, injury, illness or medication can be responsible - I don't want to rule that out. But most often, when you see regain, it's slider foods, not eating by the hierarchy so you feel full faster and you eat more, and just plain eating crap. Binges and grazing, emotional or mindless eating - if you don't fix this, you don't get long term success. Period. It becomes a struggle to stay at goal. I fought hard for my new habits. I think every time I put food in my mouth. My diet is carefully selected to be balanced and nutritious; I avoid binges, I don't graze. With this, I maintain successfully and have for years now. I had therapy. I firmly believe that many of us need to deal with what's under the fat and causing us to overeat in order to achieve this level of success and to stop looking at food for solace. Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

The first and last love is to love yourself! Never in a million years did I ever picture myself wearing such dress. I loved it and how I felt in it. Amazing feeling to experience. When your confident in each step, it shows and it attracts so many good things. One of the most memorable days of my life [emoji813]️

So my surgery was on 8/21. I am doing well physically-currently on full fluids. My concern is that i am able to drink a full cup of lets say tea within less than an hour-with out having any issue. Is that customary of this surgery. Im worried that my surgeon didnt take out enough. seems everyone else can barely take on 4oz's. I know we are all different so I cant really compare but in generalizing what i have read here its seems to be the norm. Im hoping I am also not doing anything wrong??

    GAINED 4LBs....8 weeks post.

Ok, so you are right about getting full. I do too, and so I don't combine my food, I eat one thing at a time for the most part. Since the scale is a problem for you, it IS a good idea to get rid of it for daily use. Taking a day to do some reorganizing prep work will pay off. My main dish I use all the time is an 8oz bowl. See if you have a container that size. Use your scale for this. You want the container to hold 8oz of water comfortably; full, but not right up to the brim. You can practice putting 4oz of various foods into this container to learn what 4oz looks like. Then put the scale away. If you usually eat out of this container, then you will always know how much to eat. If it is a little less or more than 4oz, it doesn't matter. Your stomach will tell you when you are done. If you want help creating a meal plan, PM me and I'll be happy to go over some ideas.

Fluids goes straight though. After surgery, you probably had to do a leak test. If you paid attention, you could see the fluids pass quickly through the stomach. And as long as you sip sip ( later larger amount at once won't be a problem) there should be no reason it shouldn't pass through quickly.

Ugh , sorry my auto correct is just the worst. And I'll try again, she's just really busy, I actually haven't seen my surgeon since the first initial meeting I've had with him.
