    Tomorrow is the day!

    I'm on day 7 of full liquids- surgery is tomorrow! Not sure what time yet, they will call me between 5-7PM tonight to let me know. I'm a little nervous, but so ready for the next chapter

    I wasn't diagnosed pre-op but I know for a fact I had a food addiction and was beginning a binge/purge cycle. I had been doing pretty well and was being super strict with myself for about 5 months. For the last 3, I've been telling myself 'one won't kill me', or 'I'll just work it off later'. But that, just a few bites of chips or pasta have turned into binge fests where I eat more than I should until I feel sick. And I keep doing it. I feel so at a loss.

    I know how you feel. My surgery is June 14th. I'm happy and nervous as well. Hope all goes great!

    Breathe. We spent so much time & energy on what we perceive as the end result of this journey: Having the surgery. The reality is that surgery is really the start of your journey. Surgery is a one-day event in this journey. The real work happens after, when you have to live the rest of your life post surgery. Breathe. Place your focus on the right thing & enjoy. Good luck.

    What is everyone "eating"?

    Sleeved 5/24. I'm just sticking to the plan they gave me sugar free jello, chicken broth mixed with 98% fat free cream of chicken soup, sugar free Popsicles,liquid protein isolate. I haven't felt hungry or full yet. On wed I move on to the next phase.

    Best pre-op protein shakes

    Here's what I'm using for shakes. This makes two 16oz Protein Shakes with around 200 cal 30 g of Protein and 15 g or less carbs. Add ice or Water until just over 32oz & blend. Two scoops of each powder, & 2 cups of most fruit blends keep you in the right range for carbs. Check first so you don't go over. Garden Of Life also has many nutients & 50 fruit and vegetable super foods. Drink one & save one for later.
