    Junior/misses Section

Just wanted to drop a quick note. I got my unfill last monday and so far so good. it takes me about 4-5 hours before i'm "hungry" and my portions are controlled. needless to say I still am figthing that 1-2 last pounds to get to onederland. however i went shopping yesterday because i needed an outfit in a specific color for a womens conference. well i went into a little cheapy store and asked where the size 12's were since i saw the plus sized section started at size 14. she told me in the junior/misses section. I JUST STOOD THERE FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE AN ETERNITY. ME GET CLOTHES OUT OF THE JUNIOR.MISSES SECTION. my heart started racing. i know this sounds crazy but i was totally freaked out for a minute. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT CLOTHES ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE PLUS SIZE SECTION. so when i bought everything from that side of the store it was soooo weird. i was happy but it was so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that i could. i even bought a tank top in a medium from that side of the store. ok just wanted to share that experience right quick. hope all is well with everyone. s/n from our conference. WHATEVER IT IS...LET IT GO!!! peace and blessings jennifer

Oh, ladies, I am so glad to hear someone else say what I have been thinking. Nursing classes start up for me next Monday and I will be 13 days post op. I have so much to study but can't seem to concentrate and I am afraid of failing. I hate this part of my life but I want to be a nurse so bad. Good luck ladies and prayers for you both

    Zumba

I just started doing Zumba twice a week. I am as uncoordinated as they come, so most of the time (Until I know the moves) I feel like Im behind in the class. But, I have fun and get a good workout, and thats what matters the most. If you go into it with a positive attitude, you will come out of it with a good workout. Also, I went to a couple different instructors. I can honestly say I didnt care for the first one, but the second one I went to I loved. Most places will give you the first class for free to see if you like it. Take advantage of that. Find an instructor you like with a class that you feel the best in.

    Freaking Out - Slipped Band?

My nurse told me when I thought I had slipped that if you are able to swallow you are fine. Regardless, you should call your nurse and talk to her or schedule an emergency appointment just to check. You probably pulled a muscle in your abs or strained it. You should look up stretches to do to help untighten the muscle

    So Far So Good !!!

You know I thought I would absolutely DIE if I couldn't drink before, after, and ESPECIALLY during my meals!!!! However now, after being banded for 81/2 months, I NEVER miss it!! What you'll find, as time goes on, is that drinking with or too close to a meal just makes everything kind of slosh around. It's very uncomfortable so you will soon, with proper restriction, not want to drink with or just after eating!! Really!!!
