YESSSSSS! Can't Shop in Woman's World!!!

I'm still at 230, but today I went to Macy's because I have no casual pants to wear and I decided to check out the sales.

I went up to the third floor at Macy's to Woman's World. My best friends work there (they are my best friends because my closet capers have paid their mortgages for years). My last jeans were 24s, so I pulled 18Ws knowing I'm close to that. I had a tearful moment in the dressing room when I pulled them on without unzipping them!

One of the assistants knocked and asked if I needed anything. I opened the door and showed her the pants and she said "Honey you need to go down to Misses. We don't have anything to fit you up here.".

I bought 18s. They are tight, but wearable. I'm having a moment or two today. Two months ago those 24's fit good. I packed the rest of the casual pants up to sell or give away. I AM DONE WITH LANE BRYANT. I AM DONE WITH AVENUE. I AM DONE WITH WOMAN"S WORLD.

I've taken this surgery very seriously. I've worked out hard, and keep to meal plans (for the most part). I've embraced this with everything I have.

Feeling better and being off blood pressure meds are one thing. But a pair of pants in Misses? PRICELESS.

I know the feeling that you are talking about. I had that feeling a few months back when I was able to buy 16 Misses at JC Penny. It was wierd being on that side of the store and I kept expecting people to look at me as if I was in the wrong section, but nope! Congrats

Great Job! I can't remember the last time I bought clothes that didn't have a HUGE "PLUS" tag on it. There is nothing plus about clothes that require a different type of hanger to hang them lol.

It must of felt amazing to put on the "regular" jeans. I'm still stuck in the ugly "mom jeans" world

Congrats this is a FEEL GOOD DAY for you enjoy.

I cry every time I go to the store to buy new clothes now because I am sooooooo HAPPY I do not fit into size 24 plus anymore. Yippeeee for you and it only gets even better.

I had a very similar experience, I shop at a store named Talbots and the store has two distinct sides to it. One was my side and the other was for all those skinny A-- bitches not like me side, secretly I hated them. I was found crying my eyes out last winter in a dressing room just like you. I used an entire box of tissue when I was told I could no long buy my clothes on this side of the store!!!!

You just Wait!!! For me the reality kicked in because I now wear a size 10 petite (I cry for JOY today and every day when I get dressed) I have been banded 1 year and one month and I eat small to be small. Best wishes and thanks for sharing you brought back one of the best memories I have had on this journey.

Although I must say most of my mornings are spent reading blogs and writing a blurb or two, this is the best part of my day as I focus on my

NEW, HEALTHY, HAPPY, skinny A-- life.

Again BEST WISHES on your journey.

Love imaluckydog

Congratulations! I can't wait to have moments like that! I think I could go shopping in my own closet though...all the different sizes I have purchased through the years! My DH made me promise that once things don't fit, I will give away. He said eventually I'll have a whole new wardrobe, he just doesn't want to see all the clothes that I don't wear!

This is my first post! You have inspired me (thank u)! Honestly I teared up when I read this blog. I have the cardiology & sleep study appts left, then I wait for approval from insurance. I'm wondering how you did pre op. The dietician wants me on a 1200 cal diet and I'm having a hard time sticking to it. She suggested I loose 20lbs - it's been a month since I met w/ her & the scale hasn't moved a bit. Just wondering what your dr expected from you in the months before your band and how you handled it!

Congratulations :) you earned it. Enjoy shopping in the "normal" side of the store. I cant wait for that. I hate all the clothes they have on the big girls side. I either feel like a blimp or like a grandma. :P Thank you for the inspiration.
