  1. CONGRATULATIONS. Those are the days that make you realize it was all worth while. Keep it up!!
  2. Hi Brian, Sorry you are having such a hard time. Please go to another Dr. on Monday!! Don't waste anytime. You have done the right thing by asking for advise, so that shows you are a strong person. YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS HUDDLE WITHOUT HELP FROM DRUGS OR ALCOHOL!! I am new, only been banded 6 weeks, so I can't help you with the right advise, but I do know you sholdn't be drinking alcohol, so please call a friend and don't isolate yourself. You WILL get thru this. Hang in there buddy. Junibug
  3. WOW!!!! What a wonderful feeling!! I can't wait foor that feeling!! CONGRATS in every way. You are an inspiration to us all.

I just checked out your blog too. You sound like you are doing great. I had my band done on June 28th and have only dropped 15 lbs since, 10 lbs on the preop diet. Very discouraged right now and so hungry and will not have my first fill until August 12th. Any suggestions? Continue your journey successfully!!!! Glad to hear from a fellow Kentucky bandster.LOL
  5. pearlgirl. I understand your fear, when we are food-aholics(which I am) it is scary, you don't trust yourself!! I don't feel restriction much either and that scares me. I havent had a fill yet and will not get one until Aug 12, so I feel your fear. Although I hope I don't feel the pain of food stuck. I do wish I felt more dispiline!!!! We will get past this and be skinny-minnies one day soon!!! Keep your eye on the prize!!

Sounds like you both are doing great. I was banded on 6/28. I am beginning to get hungry between meals, I wish I wasn't. I am on pureed/soft foods. I don't go back to my Dr. until 8/12. Long way off. I have lost 15 lbs since the surgery. This week only 1 lb. Lost 10 on the pre-surgery diet. I guess I want instanat gratification. LOL. I wish you both coontinued success. I hope we all become skinny-minnies! LOL Thanks for sharing with us.
  7. Hello Rita, congrats on doing good. I was banded on June 28th, had my first Dr visit today and have lost 11 lbs since the surgery, 21 all together. It feels wonderful. Doesn't it? How much have you lost. Don't have to feel alone. Look how many members are on this site. Very encouraging place I have found. Hang in there and keep your eyes on the prize!!
  8. Thank tou Alissa, what a wonderful story. So encouraging for us that are just starting the journey. One of the things I have always said that I look forward to doing again is crossing my legs. So nice to know other people are in the same boat. THANK YOU for sharing with us. Junibug

Congrats on doing so good. I had mine on the 28th. So we are in the same boat. I have mainly drank protein shakes. Although today I had cream of chicken soup. Was really good. Much success to you. Keep your eyes on the prize.
  10. Are you not sick? I can't imagine trying real food like that yet. You can get past this, just keep your eye on the prize.

Congrats on doing so well. I am still on liquids, for another 8 days. 2 full weeks my Dr said. I look forward to the next step. I tried a tsp of peanut butter, but my stomach did not agree with that at all. So glad we are both bandsters.LOL

Congratulations!! You have done great. Taking your lunchbag with you is a good idea. I work 10 hour days also. Thanks for sharing!!!
  13. Hi, you all are doing amazing! Congrats. When you talk about losing 19 lbs, and another one lost 15 lbs are you guys inclusing the before diet or is that since your surgery? Because I had mine on Monday, June 28th and I am only down by 3 lbs. Is this normal? You would think with only 500 or so calories a day that I would have lost 10!!! Please let me know. Thanks a bunch
  14. Congrats on 93 pounds gone. So encouraging to me. I just had my surgery on Monday. I can feel your excitement of being on a boat without being upset about what u look like in a swimsuit. ENJOY YOUR NEW LOOK!!!! Thanks for sharing.
