About this blog

Over the past few months I have gained about 40lbs due to poor eating habits, health issues and no exercise. But no more excuses. I am reclaiming my success and finally getting to goal!

I fell off the wagon because of work travel. I have to find a way to stop making work and travel an excuse. Today, however, i am back. Went and ran 2 rounds at Driscoll park with my friend. Re-engaging intermittent fasting because I felt great while on it and my lab results were superb following it. Yay me!! :-) also day 1 of the 12 week step challenge and work.
Today I had a choice I could lie in misery from staying out late last night, having 2 shots of scotch and only being able to sleep 5 or less hours. I knew there was no way I could make Crossfit. Too intense. So I decided to go swimming. First time in years!! Wow. I forgot how much if an excercise swimming is!! Whoa. But the proud moment is that I actually did a workout. So workout goal exceeded this week. Yeah!!!!   I'm traveling from Monday to Thursday. I truly have never been able to mainta
Yesterday I did row. Not sure how I forgot to add my accomplishment!! :-) also cooked quinoa and chicken and was ravenous. Did IF and for some reason overate. And I recognize it was all emotional eating. Went out and did some drinking. Naturally I'm now too beat this am to do anything. Argh! But today is another day. And so is tomorrow. Proud of me. :-)
Crossfit was a beast today. And I was a beast back!!!! Me and my 236lbs!!! Hehehe. Needless to say I have lost some weight and I am feeling accomplished. Big smiles!!! Yay yay yay!!! :-) intermittent fasting actually works for me. Keeps hunger pangs at bat. I started taking psyllium seed husk and I feel hungrier. Could they expand the stomach? The fiber pills? Took bcaa pre workout and post per doc recommendation. Yay today!!!
Did my fasted workout today. Holy moly!!!! I kicked bootie!!!! On row machine when going to 100% for 30 Seconds I hit 1.37. Rowing hard that even David, coach, was impressed. Whoa whoa whoa. I was dead after but so proud. Lowest number I have seen. I am really loving working out. Feel aliiiive feel aliiiive!!! :-)
Worked out - Crossfit this am. Fasted workout and took bcaas. Really made a different. It was tough but I rocked it. Completed guided meditation yesterday. Check!! Yay. Feeling on track. I am sculpting my body to be what I want it to be. Everyday!!! Did my 16 hours of fast as part of intermittent fasting. Meals all day were good. Dinner I had to so weetabix and almond milk cos no other cooked food. Yikes. But I added a scoop of protein to help add to it. :-) great day. Gnite all!!!   Tomorrow
Ok! The weekend was kinda wild. I agree. But I'm back on track as of today. Back on intermittent fasting. Didn't eat until 2pm. No workout. Goal for this week is 4 workouts and intermittent fasting through Saturday. The real stretch is the guided meditation twice this week. I can do it. Yay!
Went to row class at 9am tomorrow. Felt great. Also went and bought my swimsuit today. :-) so now I have one day tomorrow and I need to get 2 workouts in to hit my goal. Wondering how I will get that done. :-) yesterday evening I had serious cravings. I think it had to do with the alcohol the night before. Tonight I am going out again so I need to figure out how I will handle this. Today my cravings are in check. I fasted for 16 hours so that definitely helps with the cravings I believe. Purpos
Ah oh!!! I didn't blog yesterday. So update is I didn't workout yesterday or today. Went out last night from 8pm through 4am. I surprise myself sometimes and drank alcohol too which is the first time in a while so it got to me. So I spent most of today sleeping off the alcohol. I'm working out tomorrow. Row endurance class. No workout today either.   Wins: went to grocery store and resisted the urge to buy icecream. It isn't good for my body. Second win is I did my guided meditation on Wed
I woke up early today, at 5am for no reason. Usual wake up time is 7:30am. So I asked myself. Do I go back to sleep? But some crazy voice in me said - go to the gym!!! Whoa!!! Who's that voice!! :-) needless to say I heeded the advice. Showered real quick, registered for the class, made some coffee and was out of the house in 20 mins barely skidding into row class for "all body." And I kicked ass in the class. Powerful and energetic. Glad I went. Knocking down my weekly goals one day at a time.
I didn't want to go today but I really went. I went for Crossfit and did well in the wod. Yay yay yay. Thanks to extreme weightloss (the show) and my goals for helping to make this happen   My goal for the next one week starting Monday is to write in my blog daily, buy swimming gear and swim at least once. Total workout goal for this week including swimming is 5 times. A bit of a stretch but a good stretch!!! :-) finally do my guided meditation twice this week! :-)
Went to row class today. Endurance row. Wow I gave it my all. It was tough. Row 500 meters each within 3 minutes twice. If you row too slow you won't rest in between so you have to sprint. Then row 1000 meters 2 x each within 6 minutes at a strong steady pace then row another 500 meters 2x at a sprint each within 3 minutes at a sprint. Even the super fit people were panting. But it felt awesome to finish especially because I really wanted to quit halfway. lol. Didn't think I could do it Yay 1
After a highly stressful day yesterday I wasn't able to sleep. But somehow I managed to go workout today and workout. As a result I feel better. Glad I went. And it helped with my stress level and emotional rollercoaster. 2 more workouts this week and I will have met my goal. I can do it!!! :-)
So busy at work I almost forgot to put in my entry today. Phew I remembered. Cancelled workout because of work. Put in a 14 hr day today. Yikes! Thank goodness I have no snacks but healthy snacks in the house because the head hunger is calling. Off to bed. Tomorrow is a new day. :-)
My knees hurt really badly I couldn't work out today, and my body was exhausted. But tomorrow is another day. Off to bed!!! :-) ps: that time of the month too so warding off cravings. It's good not to have any unhealthy food in the house so it is not an alternative.
Went shopping at whole foods and it was a good experience. Lost half my raw shrimp as I was trying to clean it. Went down the disposal and even if I was able to retrieve it, too much of a germaphobe to eat it. Ate whole stevia sweetened chocolate bar I picked up at whole foods. Why do I even buy this stuff? Good news is that it was only a total of 360 calories so not a complete distraction. Guided meditation complete and lookig forward to tomorrow's workout which will make 2/4 of my week's goal.
Day 1 here we are. I kicked butt at Crossfit like butt has never been kicked before!!! Lol. At least in my standards. Proud of myself. I've decided to kick dairy from my diet and try almost milk instead. By the way I had my sleeve done in September 2012. Revision from the band. I can do this!!!! :-)
Starting today, I will make no excuses. I must be accountable for my decisions, for where I currently am in my weight-loss & sleeve journey. I owe this to my body, I owe this to my experiences, I owe this to my loved ones and I owe this wholeheartedly to my whole being. In order to do that, I will set simple goals and accomplish them. No more lofty goals. Weekly goals because I get bored easily. My goal for the next 1 week, starting tomorrow, Sunday June 22nd through Saturday June 28th, my g
