I think because I've been cross country skiing so much over the past few months I have been sculpting fat into muscle and I have not been losing as much as I expected too. But today I finally hit the -60's (-61.8) AND I'm in the 250 weight catagory. Goodbye 260's FOREVER!!!! I love my band so much! I'll be doing a happy dance all day!
Although I am happy with the amount of weight I have lost since being banded 4 months ago, deep down I don't think I believe I will ever get to my goal weight. I know this is wrong, negative and self defeating. I have been overweight for almost 20 years now and during that time I have lost a significant amount of weight once or twice but I was never even close to my goal weight. Oct 8th was my 3 month anniversary and I celebrated with an extra long workout :ohmy:. I completed week two of the Couch to 5k program this week as well. I have never been a runner but I'm loving it. I'm down 41lbs, I have so much energy and I feel awesome. I'm a quarter of the way to my goal, but a long way from onderland still. I can't wait for that day! Things are going much better than I expected on the pre-op diet. Today is day 3 and I'm surviving just fine. My pre-op diet consists of 3 protein shakes a day and up to 250 calories a day from low glycemic vegies, nothing else but water. 2 days done and 19 to go! When I think of doing this for 3 weeks it can get overwhelming so I'm focusing on hour by hour.
