So frustration has sided.................... .

So got through the frustration part and lost 7 pounds this week bringing my total loss to 34 pounds. I get my 2nd fill next week so hopefully this will be the next step to get me moving more towards my goal.   Glad I have a venue to scream and yell in and then come in and report happy news.   Good luck to you and me in this journey:redface:

Feeling very frustrated

262 that's where I have been stuck and now a week after my fill still stuck there. I watch what I eat, my portions are small and nothing is happening. Then I get home and my insurance paid $1,000 of the surgery they pre approved leaving me with a bill for $25,000. Feeling a huge amount of regret for having this surgery. It's not working and now my insurance is pulling the rug out from under me. I was so excited to have this done, lost the 15 pounds I was required to and the day of surgery I weighed 270, so since surgery I have lost 8 pounds. My surgery was Feb 8 here we are March 20. I signed up for the process because it was slow and and I had to work at it as well but seriously 8 pounds in 6 weeks? Those 8 pounds were in the first week, nothing since then. I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and work out for an hour. This is how I felt before my surgery, no matter what I did it didn't work, with surgery no matter what I do it doesn't work.   This sucks!!!!

Day 4

Hi all Well surgery went fairly well, it took 3 hours, I had my spleen removed several years ago and so they had to take care of all the scar tissue and then I also had a hiatal hernia they repaired. I came home the next day and have been lying low ever since. Drinking my protein shakes and sugar free jello. Yesterday I had chicken broth and that tasted good. I'm not finding myself hungry so having to remind myself to drink. Overall feeling really good, the gas pains from them blowing me up so big are hard and painful but getting better. I woke up this morning better able to move without a lot of pain and just feeling better. I go to my other doc tomorrow for some post op blood work it will be good to get out and about a bit.   Thanks for all the support and kind words. I haven't stepped on the scales yet but day of surgery I weighed 270 which was down 19 pounds from my required pre op weight loss of 15. That felt good! So 100 to go! That's my first goal, we will see where I'm at then and where I want to go.   Be well all Shannon:thumbup:

Hunger Wall

The last two days have reminded me why I want to get banded. I have been working super hard on losing this required 15 pounds before surgery and I hit the hunger wall yesterday. I ate and ate went to the gym though and this morning had gained 2 pounds. UGH. So I let myself continue with the eating day and went to the store tonight and will start hitting it hard again tomorrow. I have 2 weeks to lose 5 pounds I know I can do that!!!

Here I go

My surgery is scheduled for Feb 11. I am so excited and anxious and scared. Which after talking with folks sounds normal!!   I have lost 12 pounds of the 15 required before surgery. I joined 24 hour Fitness and love it. Go almost every day. Walk the treadmill, work free weights on my arms and then ride the stationary bike. I drink 2 Slim Fast a day, eat lots of sugar free jello and then a meal. Just learning how to fix that meal in a healthy way. My fiance is amazing and so supportive. I'm looking forward to being thinner for our wedding this summer.   This is a great forum to be involved in. I like listening to others successes, meeting new people and having a place to write my feelings.   Til next time Shannon:tongue2:
