Now I know better... I know... but I forgot my lunch at home so I ran to chick-fa-la and grabed a grilled chicken sandwhich --(i do this a couple of times during the week) and take the bread off and just eat the grilled chicken. well, I took the top bread off and then I looked at the bottom piece and thought... that looks pretty thin-- and I haven't had a true sandwhich in so long maybe I can just get the chicken wtih the bottom piece.....

2 small bites in... I knew I shouldnt have done it!!! LOL! and took the bread off and threw it away!!

Now I am overly full feeling and borderline stuck! LOL! I waited a good 20 minutes before finishing the grilled chicken ... and everything seems to be good now-- guess sometimes my brain really wants that bread!:tongue_smilie:

yeah, Im pre-banded but I am worried about such situations. Its hard when we're used to eating without thinking but now we have to be mindful. I suggest asking them for just the grilled meat, lettuce and Tomato without the sandwich bread. You're saving food and you're not putting yourself at risk of slippage. Can't wait till I get banded 6 more days to go.

I do the same thing sometimes...up until I hit 6 cc's full. I've tried a bite or two of bread very few times...mostly, I just completely avoid bread now. I don't know if this happens to you, but french fries will get stuck for me! I know, I know...that's probably a good thing...but sometimes you just want a few! Since I had my last fill, I've noticed that I usually eat WAY less than I did even with 5 cc's in - it made a huge difference for me. In the mornings, I can hear my Water gurggling through...so I don't even try to eat anything solid until at least 8:30 or 9 (sometimes that's difficult though because I get up at 5 AM). It's definitely a lifelong learning process...

Yeah, I really dont have a problem with no restriction... I was pretty lucky and restricted right after surgery- in fcast, I still only have 1.5cc in my band and I dont eat very much at all- I only had about 4 small bites total of the chicken breast..... Just every once in a while I want a sandwhich..LOL! but to tell ya the truth.. een the few bites of bread that I took... it didn't taste near as good as I remember it too..LOL!

Yeah, I know what you mean...after something gets stuck...it just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be - at least for me. :) If I want to eat eggs, I have to have them overeasy - I can't do scrambled anymore. I can do Pasta, but not rice - unless it's Japanese rice. One time, I'll eat something and be fine, and the next time I try to eat it, I get sick. I can't eat pork anymore either (like pulled pork)...the last few times I've tried eating it, I've gotten sick. I wish there was a sign the band could poke out that tells you how it's feeling that day! LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
