HELP WHAT Should I do

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I had my second fill (1.6) yesturday in TJ, I live 4hrs away from Tj. When I was there everything was fine they gave me some liquid and passed well, I left and drank a sip of Water on my way home and oh my got that hurt, I tried dringking again and it hurts, this morning I tried dringking again and my first sip did pass but the second didn't. Am I too tight or should I wait? What can I do? Please answer.

Sounds like swelling from the fill. It may go down but not sure how long that would take so you may need an unfill. Don't let yourself get dehydrated, if you can't get liquids down you will have to go back for an unfill asap. See if you can find a fill center or anything like that closer to you for these situations. If you start getting the liquids down ok stay on them for a while before you go back to solids so you dont aggrivate your band while it's swolen. Wish I could be more helpful...

I read your message as saying that this fill was 1.6cc but you don't say what your total is. It is likely that you are too tight ... if you can't swallow Water, you certainly can't eat. Can you call the doc in TJ? Is it close enough to go back? If not, is there a Fill Centers USA near enough to you to get a slight unfill?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
