Well Well Well... i was banded on 10/08/2009... my surgery was scheduled for 6:35AM i was trying to be there 15 minutes early but i got there right on time lol... my mother and i went to the pre-op room , the nurse asked me the last minute questions( chance of being pregnant? Those types of questions) This was my first time having surgery so of course i was nervous, the docs could tell i was... i was wheeled into the surgery room then told to get on to the the surgery table... it was little but i got up there with no problem... the nurses and doctors already in there where getting ready... i just remember the kool funny guy Tim and his assistant Becky... very nice people... then i remember them putting a mask on me and that was it...lol then they kept telling me to wake up wake up... then i remember seeing my mom.. after that i dont remember anything lol... PAIN wise i only had it when i moved but it didnt hurt hurt but it was just wasnt comfortable... i stayed over night and got out yesterday(10/09/2009) in the evening time.. i have these moments where i get a little dizzy but i could still see and when i walk i hummm alot lol idk y i just do... i havent had any pain medication since i left the hospital but i just wanted to know when is all the pain suppose to go away im just scared when i go back to school on tuesday im going to have all this pain, when im moving..

My pain has come and gone but hasn't been too bad - truthfully. I am scheduled to go back to school (teacher-librarian) on Tuesday. I think I'll be okay.

Walk - walk - walk! When I get to hurting - I get up and walk around the house.

Hi there,

I was banded on 10/8 as well, and today was my first day back at work. I was pretty out of it - I still feel foggy from the anesthesia, I think! My pain is pretty much gone, other than the shoulder pain from the gas. That crept up on me today and by 2:00 I was pretty uncomfortable. Glad to be home now!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
