Hello friends, today I am doing the walk of shame. I was banded on Sept l, 09 and am down l4 lbs. Today I dont know what happened, but I ate like there was no tomorrow.

I had chowmein and orange chicken for lunch (ate the whole thing) and since I had already blown it for the day I went to Starbucks and had a iced caramal (non fat) machiatto with (wait im not done) a piece of coffee cake:eek:.

I have been doing so good. I feel so ashamed. I dont get my first fill until Oct l6th. I have to admit that I am hungry every day and my weight loss has been pure will power. I am only 3 (4 by tomorrow) lbs to wonderland and was so excited to get there. Why did I do this to myself?

I'll start over tomorrow. I just had to vent.

Like Scarlett O'Hara says....Tomorrow is another day.

Don't worry about it. I've had days like that too. Then, the next day I started over, and didn't look back. Life is about ups and downs, and taking care of ourselves is no different.

Sounds like you are in bandster hell!!:)

I went through similar until I had my first fill last week. My doc put 3cc's in my band and although the first day I felt LOTS of restriction it seems less now. I am definitely able to eat more than 1/2 cup at a sitting. I am trying to make good choices and take my time eating and chewing.

Your fill will come soon and you will feel better! It is a process, that is for sure. You have done really well, one day won't hurt.. tomorrow is a new day!! :tongue2:

I am in bandster hell right now waiting for my 1st fill. Don't feel too bad. I ate pizza - not 1 - not 2 but 4 slices!! I was hungry and it tasted insanely good but then it just sat on my chest (not painful) for half an hour. Not doing that again but I cant wait for my 1st fill.

I say enjoy it while you can! This will all change once you have fills and get good restriction. Just don't over do it in the meantime!!

There is no shame in being human.

I'm not there yet, so my advice may be lame, but my doctor said when waiting for a fill, try and eat Breakfast and lunch closer together, then allow yourself a midafternoon snack to tide you til dinner. That is supposed to help you not get so hungry.

Been there, done that. I posted about it just a few days ago. I felt like crap! Seems like it happens to most of us on here.

Tomorrow's another day so just get back on the "band" wagon and you'll be fine. :(

Take care and God bless.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
