Im sick and my surgerys in 5 more days

I knew it would happen I feel run down. I sneezed 100 times yesturday and thought it was allergys well today I woke with a phlemy couph. I would call the doc but they are closed on wed. Do ya think they will still do the surgery?

could still be allergy's I would say check with them ASAP!

No if you are congested they will postpone the surgery, because it is elective and it's more dangerous (anesthesia, oxygenation) when your gas exchange/lung function is impaired. Call your PCP and see if it's bacterial and if antibiotics can help, and call your surgeon tomorrow. And don't cheat on your diet! :blushing:

Well I called dr yesturday and the nurse said they should postpone surgery and the next available opening was 2 weeks away well I started crying and she got the doc on the phone and the dear soul is squeezing me in on wed. He even agreed 5 weeks of nothing but carnation shakes wasnt good so thank God. I shouldnt even of called cuz Im already feeling better but better safe than sorry. Ive lost 30 lbs in 18 days whoo hoo.
