Will I get my first fill????

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if the doc will give me my first fill even though I have lost 21 lbs in 5 weeks? I go next week for my fill. I do have some restriction but not like I should. I have been waiting 6 weeks for this and I will be mad if he says no. If I can lose 21 lbs in 5 weeks with barely no restriction, I can't wait till I get full restriction..... Jennifer

I am hoping that I get a fill on 9/23 too. So far, I've lost 26.1 lbs but I don't have much of a restriction at all. Sometimes at night, I am tight but not much. The gas is killing me tonight. Guess I shouldn't have eaten that tuna.< /p>

Are you still having gas pains in your shoulder too? I am too. It is worse if I am hungery or if I have eaten to much. I am damned if I do and damned if I don't. LOL Granted I don't get the gas pains as bad as I used to but as soon as I think they are gone forever, here they come back....

My daughter had surgery two years ago and she said that for a whole year, the gas would come & go. Just when she thought it was over for good, it would come back.

I just know it is a miserable feeling!

BTW, thank your hubby for me for serving his country and tell him that I for one appreciate his service. Good Bless him & all our troops wherever they are.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
