Had a slight fill Friday afternoon. Before it, I was eating way to much. Even under fluoro, they said my esphogus looked wider. Now, I can hardly drink anything. A couple of sips of Water and I'm sliming all day.

All I had yesterday was a couple of sips of Protein. Even Water had me sliming all day.

I know this is not healthy. I'm not even getting enough water much less enough Protein. But, I also know the tightness wears off. I think I'm going to try and wait for the tightness to wear off. At least a couple of days. Seems like I went from one extreme to the other.

Don't wait too long, you do not want to get dehydrated. Good luck to you!

I've been there. I would wait for a few days. Take very small sips of Water and try to get at least 64 oz in a day. If you can't then go in now! If you can then wait for the swelling to go down.

It's much better to have >restriction than none. Some days, I can only drink Water and Protein shakes. Other days I can eat a little.

Sliming really swells up your pouch and makes things worse. When I get to sliming, I go to liquids and wait for the swelling to go down. It really needs to be babied at these times. Small, small, sips, waiting minutes between sips, but you have all day to get the liquid you need. Also being dehydrated makes the stomach dry and the stuck feeling happens faster.

Good luck to you and keep us posted on your decisions, and your health.

Carbgrl,

I'm in the same boat as you are this weekend. I had a 0.5 cc fill on Friday, able to swallow H2O fine at the Dr.'s office. I'm up to 5cc in 10cc band, this was my 3rd fill.

Saturday AM, tight. All day, tight. 8pm, able to eat (swallow) Tomato Soup just fine, also drank 40 oz of Water before I went to bed.

This morning, tight again! Eek! I'm going to see how it goes today and tomorrow. I'm hoping that it's just a little swelling and will calm down. I've also read that some people are tighter in the mornings, maybe that's part of it, too?

I know how you're feeling, it'll get better. If not, both of us might be going for an unfill.

Good luck!

T-bonz

Hi Carbgirl. I'm sorry to hear that you are too tight. How many ccs do you have in your band?

Keep us updated.

I think I have 6.2 in a 10 band. I think they added the .2 Friday. It's so weird going from almost eating anything to not being able to even drink. I may have to go to the doctor's ofc tomorrow morning. Maybe they can take out .1?

I got a slight unfil. I was mistaken. Before my last fill on Friday I had 6.2 cc in my 10 cc band. So, .08 cc was added on Friday to make 7 cc's total and made me to tight. I was trying to wait and see if it'd wear off but, I didn't think I could sit at work sliming all day. Gross! My husband said he was going to get me a spitoon!

So, I went to doc's ofc first this morning and got about 1/2 of my last fill out. I'm about 6.5 cc now. I think I was really getting dehydrated and was starting to get really fatigued.

I feel better now, getting fluids down and even had some Soup. Hopefully, I'm at my sweetspot. I still think I'm alittle on the tight side but, as long as I'm getting fluids down, I'm ok!

I'm glad you are better Carbgrl! I'm at 5.5 ccs and still no restriction. I hope my next fill will get me to the sweetspot.

Thanks for posting. Let me know how you feel in a couple of days.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
