999 @9:30 for me.

I have 3 days of appointments this week, then get to take it easy until the 9th.

I've already prepared broths and thinned cereals in ice cube trays and frozen them, so I have my 1oz liquid phase mostly taken care of. Packed for my 23 hour hospital stay. Now I can relax(!) and research more, after this Thursday...

Finally got my surgery time....7:30 on Wednesday and I'll have the band! WOohOo! The pre op diet has been hard today for some reason I'm really struggling with getting a shake down so for dinner I just had some chicken broth. I think I just needed something warm, does that make sense?

Had bad news yesterday. I went to my family physician for final clearance and a problem came up. Turns out I have heart problems. Had to goto ER. So its cardiologist ,stress test, and echo on Tuesday. If they all come back good Cardiologist will clear me for surgery ,but it wont be next week. Hopefully surgeon can reschedule my surgeyr quickly.

I am a little upset with the Hospital and surgeons office. Ihad the pr-op stuff done last Friday and no-one evn looked at teh EKG till yesterday when I went to my family doc.As soon as she saw it she had me go straight to the ER. Was walking around all week with this.

Dont know which I am more upset about. That or having to postpone surgery :)

I'm so sorry to read about your bad news. Write up the hospital in the reviews section on OH.

I don't know how all of this medical stuff works, and I think hospitals are short staffed, yet with a test that doesn't read right, I would expect immediate follow-up.

I had a call last night, Friday night @ 9PM, to tell me that my lung test was okay. They even called me and left a message Friday before I had arrived home from getting the scan. Two calls to me telling me surgery was still on. I thought I would have to wait until the following Monday to find out the news.

Try and keep up the exercises to help you be relaxed (that will be really tough...)until Tuesday. I believe in the sit and be fit exercises-

Keep in touch -support groups are one of the keys to successful weight loss.

Surgery was the 4th and everything went great! Wish I had done this sooner. Funny thing was, I never got nervous. On the day of the surgery I was almost too calm. LOL Loving my band already!

Congratulations!!!

I'm a bit nervous, I will admit. I am so encouraged by reading all the positive messages on this site. No support groups where I live, so I'm definitely happy to have lapbandtalk.com!:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
