trying to conceive and have some questions
Hi everyone. Just updating this post. Still haven't gotten knocked up yet, lol, but am staying positive, exercising, and eating right. I thought I was pregnant last month, as my period was 3 weeks late. However it turned out my cycle was out of whack due to years of BC pills, so I had to take a pill called primolut N for 10 days, which forced me back on track. Thanks, aspen, for your response. I appreciate your support. Good luck to all of you who are pregnant, ttc, or new moms!

Parents
Dear Hazel, Wow, your aunt is HARSH! I have to say I absolutly disagree 100% that no man would want you the way you are. Isn't that what finding love is all about? That someone loves you for YOU, not what size pants you wear? I recognize that I am very lucky to have my husband, who I met when I was around 200lbs and who stayed with me up to 265 and through my surgery and is sitting beside me today. He loves me regardless of my size, and would still be sitting here if I was still at 265. Weightloss might increase your confidence, it might give you more fashion choices, and I admit life is easier. But it absolutly does not guarantee that the love of your life is going to come waltzing through the door and be the person you want. Frankly if he cant love you at any size then he doesn't love you at all. Ugh sorry I just hijacked this thread I just get so ANGRY by this idea that bigger people are unlovable or less worthy of love. You ARE worthy! You ARE loveable! You are wonderful just the way you are. Your aunt can suck an egg (no offense, sorry)

trying to conceive and have some questions
Hello! I'm Katie, have been banded just over a year, and am currently trying to conceive. I've been off the pill since May and have a feeling this may be the month, but in the meantime I have some questions. My surgeon is in another city and I have to fly to go see him. I am currently at 8.5cc in a 10cc band. I am feeling good and definately hit my sweet spot with this fill which I've had for a few months. My surgeon knows I'm trying to conceive and recommends we do a half un-fill once I am preggo. Now to my question: how did you all deal with morning sickness and general nausea? Did you have any special medication to help aleviate it? I ask because excessive vomiting can cause your band to slip or cause irritation, and yet so many of us are having babies so there must be something to manage it? Thank you so much in advance for any help or advice. And to those of you currently carrying: congrats! I wish you the best and hope you each have a wonderful, healthy pregnancy!

Anyone interested in a Christmas challenge?
Hi! Just joined! I was successful in my last challenge - which was a memorial day one back before the summer. Hoping to be successful with this one too! I also try to set short term goals but having a long term one like this helps keep me focused on the future.

Feeling hopeless and don't know what to do...
stay strong! He sounds pretty manipulative from what you recently posted. He thinks you are a toy that he can push away and then pull back when he's feeling insecure. I pray you will find a resolution so you can live your life!

Sorry for the downer here, but I have to vent.
Is it possible that there is another reason all together he freaked out? I know when I feel stress from outside sources, I often lash out at those I love the most. Maybe you should write him an email explaining that didn't know he felt this way but that you would like to work through the issues and change. And after you send it, give him space and time. I feel like if it's that dramatic of a snap, he might come around after he realizes he over reacted or took his frustrations out on the wrong person. I hope so! Best of luck.

Acid Problems?
I started recently having the same problem. That acidy feeling is awful! I cut out coffee, which I read was an irritant, and fruit juices. I have to sleep propped up now because it wakes me up at night! I just emailed my doctor about it, hoping I can take something preventative rather than chewing on the tums like I have been. Please post if you find a solution, and I will let you know what my doc says when he gets back to me.

In Mourning
You know, I was like this with DC and Coke Zero. The other day someone served me a glass without asking if I want it. I took a tiny sip and just could not believe how sweet and fake it tasted! After all these months of home made iced tea, water, and juice, I was OVER the cola!

Words cut like a knife
OMG well you can't help when your family is attacking you, but it sounds like you work in a TOXİC office! Wow. So sorry. Honestly you are so brave to tell people. Only my husband, sister, and parent in laws know. Not even my own mother! Please don't get disheartened. You are strong and brave and this is no easy way out! Best wishes, KT

Foods to Avoid
For me, bread is hard. My surgeon told me to avoid broccoli because its hard to break down. He also said to avoid cucumbers but I haven't really noticed any problem with that!

My First Year Banded-120 pounds gone-A review
So great and so relateable! It's really encouraging to see so many of my own thoughts up there. Especially eating whilst doing other things. I'm eating my dinner right now and eating so much slower than if my husband was here or I was just sitting. But OMG - pee sneezes! I never thought of them as a side effect of the weight but I haven't had one in a while either! Too funny!

Turkey?
Hi. I was banded in September in Istanbul by a great Doctor. Do you live in Turkey? Planning to come for medical purposes only?
