Banded June 7. I have lost 22.5 pounds. I am oh so close to onederland. YIPPEE!! This is not near as much as I would have liked but given the last few months I am not going to complain. I have also had a heck of an emotional time lately dealing with some family problems. I am SO lucky I have not gained anything. In that my band has been a Godsend.

I have had several problems though. I had acid reflux for the first couple of months and it scared me more than anything but "Acid has finally left the building." I also had a hell of a PB. I ended up throwing up blood int he emergency room; however, it seems to have just been a freak accident and everything is fine now.

I have had two fills and am up to 1.6. I am considering getting another fill.

I also have decided to give up fast food. I think it has been bringing me down--energy wise and frankly it is just SO bad for you. So that is my new resolution.

So glad you asked. I love to touch base with other Junesters.

Hello - June 13th here. I don't weight "offically" until monday mornings but as of today I am down 51 pounds. I went for fill #2 this past monday and BOY what a difference. I am now at 2.5cc's.

I haven't really had any problems actually none to think of. I am "sliming" alot right now. (Not sure if that is considered PBing or not) Now that I think my fill is where it needs to be...I can't eat much of anything mostly liquids and mushies right now.

We should check in once a month and see how everyone is doing....Flower what about you? You didn't say how things were going for you.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
