How long do I have to take chewable vitamins?

Recommended Posts

I am almost 4 weeks post op and having serious issues with my Vitamins. They are so gross and the texture makes me gag. Does anybody know how long I will be on the chewables? When can I swollow a whole Vitamin or will that never be able to happen?

Thank you,

I had my surgery in December, and I am still on chewables. I just got good restriction last month; before that, I might have been able to swallow a large pill, but definitely not now. Maybe you could try a different brand of chewable, or try a liquid Vitamin supplement?

I was told I would never be able to take a pill larger than a dime .... I find them gross also.......I'm thinking about going to a liquid Good luck on your journey

I can't stand the chewable vitamins either. I've been taking Gummy bear Vitamins (doc said it was ok) and they are much better. I really have to chew, chew, chew, but it's worth it--I get my vitamins and a sweet-tooth fix at the same time! :scared2:

I have never taken a chewable. In fact I take a potassium pill that is HUGE. And I'm well restricted. I wasn't told "nothing larger than a dime"....I have great restriction and no issues with any pill or capsule.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
