What kind of vitamins do you take?

Recommended Posts

My dietitian has me taking Centrum Silver chewables, 1200mg of Calcium and B12 bilingual every day but she said that after six weeks I can swallow a pill and I won't have to use the chewables anymore but I don't mind the taste. That New Whey Protein is what kills me. Gag.

Thanks everyone for your replys. I'm actually shocked to read all those who are taking childrens chewables. My nutritionist said not to take them that they didnt have what was needed for an adult. I was just hoping I could find something other than this Orange / Citrus flavor.

Thanks again!

:)

My doctors nutritionist told us to take childrens chewable Vitamins (like the flintstones ones) - but to take 2. And to Vicatin (sp?) chewable Calcium Vitamin chews. So thats what i take.

I just take the 6-pack multi complex I always did. I don't and have never had an issue swallowing pills. :juggle:

I take the Flintstones, too. Actually, I take the generic ones from Wal-mart. I also found some sugar-free Calcium chocolate chews. They're a generic brand - Nature Valley, or Nature Tree - I can't remember and I'm not at home to confirm. But anyway, they're WAY cheaper than Viactiv, and that's important because I'm REALLY pinchin' pennies these days.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
