Exercise dvd's...

Recommended Posts

Hey, everyone-

I checked the fitness section here on lbt but didnt really find any great recomendations for workout dvds. I am looking for something fun and that will make up for the days I miss the gym. I would love something like flirty girl fitness but dont want to spend the $200 for the set...Any suggestions???

I've got the Australian version but I'm assuming the US one will similar - the Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVD.

Holy cow, I'm very fit and I can bring myself to the point of vomiting by putting 100% into this DVD. Its REALLY hard if you go at it hard. And extremely effective. I knocked a whole 5minutes of my 10K time last year by doing this circuit style workout 3 x per week in conjuction with outside running.

Other than that my favourite workouts are MP3 ones - I love running to Cardio Coach or Treadmill Trainer.

I love my TurboJam dvds. I think I paid about $80 for the whole set.

I agree with Jachut, the biggest loser boot camp is a good workout

I'm working with these two, primarily. The one on the right is a LOT harder than I thought it would be.

I love Power90. Not to be confused with Power90X where u have to be a marine fresh out of boot camp....with a history of doing triathalons....while wearing a weight vest, to complete.

:frown:

I LOLed IRL real hard! LMAO!

You should see me and my white-girl self trying to figure out how to pop and pump, or pop and lock, to that "Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party" cardio DVD I've been trying. I guess I just need to find a mirror large enough to compare the way I contort my form to the way the chick on the DVD does. I feel like I'm doing it wrong. But perhaps it's one of those things where, the more I do it, the easier it becomes.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
