Hi,

I live on Smith Street across from Roche Bros.

What was it like when you woke up from surgery? I am just afraid that I will be in alot of pain like my other surgeries and it took a while to settle down. Did you get really nauseas?

Cheryl

hey, Cheryl! you're not far at all from me!! I pass by there prolly daily, lol!!! soo...no..no nausea...they load you up with all kinds of anti nausea meds...what I did have was pain in my shoulder which passed pretty quickly..they said that was from the anesthesia, and they also inflate your abdomen with gas, so they have room to do the surgery....I was walking around that day. it really wasnt a big deal for me, and I would do it again in a heartbeat....

banded living aint a bed of roses, but realistically, it was the best and safest option. its amazing to me how I dont get hungry, and get really full on a small amount of food.....you have to work at it, though, it is only a tool. I also go to the gym for about 2 hours a day most days, so believe me, this is not the easy way out! stay in touch with Adam, go to support, and work your tool...you'll do great!!

here's adam's email addy adam@massweightloss.com

and here's mine: goldngrll@yahoo.com

feel free to get in touch anytime!!

do you have kids?? if so, you prolly have seen me at the playgrounds....crayzee lookin redhead (well not so crayzee lookin anymore, lol) with triplets plus one...usually chasing some child around the playground, lol!!

Thanks for the info.

What gym do you go to?

I belong to Gold's and Mansfiel Holiday Inn, but I need a budy to get me going. I was a gym rat for a long time, but when I had half my thyroid out, it slooooowed me way down.

I have two boys, one is 21 and the other will be 18 in 10 days. Wow, that is cool you have triplets plus one. I am a twin.

I am going to Wednesday nights group. Are you going? If so, do you want to ride together?

Hi,

Well, I am 6 days post op. Finally starting to feel good. Wow, the gas in the shoulder the first night was awfully painful, but resovled by morning. Had to have a hiatal hernia repair adding to more pain in the incisional site. Have been off pain meds for 2 days now. Incisions feel better every day. Glad it is over and looking forward to the future.

Well, I have had enough of staying in. It is 8 days today. One of my incisions really hurt, but they look good. I think I am going to step on scale in a little while. I will go to the support meeting if you want to go. Call me 774-266-0106.

Thanks,

Cheryl

Yahhhhhhhhh!

I stepped on the scale yesterday. I am down 12 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never been able to loose more than 1 pound in 2 weeks. It really works if you follow what they say. I can't wait to go to the gym. I know the weight loss will slow down as I have lost a large amount of weight in the past.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
