My best compliment came from my husband. The other day he was folding my jeans and he said "You know, everytime I pick these up the first thought through my head is who do these belong to. They're so small."

Still on my 2-month pre-op diet.. Lost about 25# so far, and another month to go.

The pants gave me the compliment. They were new about the time I started. They fell off of me, fully buttoned/zipped this weekend.

It amused.

What's grand is the fact that my belt and waistband aren't digging into my overhang nearly as much as they used to.

I can wear shirts untucked without having to peel the the pants (quite painfully) from my waste when sitting at my desk. That alone is worth the surgery.

Customs gave me a hard time about my pic in my passport coming home from Aruba last night! Everyone gave me a really hard time using my license, too....but I keep them because they remind me of how far I've come! My favorite compliment, though, was from a complete stranger at the casino who simply told me he thought I was really pretty---while sitting beside his wife. I appreciated it because he wasn't a guy trying to get something, simply a good guy paying a compliment. Very sweet. :)

The other day we had 'jeans' day at work and I wore a new pair of blue jeans that I have. In the elevator on the way to lunch, one of my employees looked at me and said, "How do you afford to keep buying new clothes every month with all the weight you've lost?" It wasn't really meant to be a compliment but this kid has never mentioned my weight loss to me before and because I know he was thinking to himself, "Yesterday she was overweight but today she isn't..." it really made me grin.

Also, on the same day, one of my male co-workers came up to me and said, "You look really good- um- but not like in a sexual harrassment way - uh or anything. You just look healthy, you know? uh... bye." I laughed so hard I almost cried. This particular man has known me since before I began losing any weight so it was really nice to hear that from him.

The other day there was this big agency award assembly and the MC called our division up on stage in front of 300 people to give us an award...

After the assembly one gal who used to work with us ran over to me and said:

"Oh my gosh!!! I swear I did not even freaking recognize you!! I saw: Krissy, then kember then i was trying to figure out who that other girl was!!! and it was you jenn!!!" you are skinny!!"

it was a really really cool moment this gal knew me at my heaviest.

my old co-worker was so excited for me

I had to go wee really bad one day and ran to bathroom and yanked my pants down without even unbuttoning or anything - thinking they were my old stretch pants!! LOL I realized I probably needed new dockers. Amusing and grand!

Here's the latest one I got. Yesterday I posted 2 new pics on my Facebook page from a wedding I attended a month ago and I got about 20 compliments on them from my friends & family. Wanna talk about feeling good about yourself.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
