I was banded by Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta

Recommended Posts

Dr. Joya has been doing Bariatric surgery for the last 10 years, he has done my surgery, and is the true leader in Laparoscopic Bypass surgeries as well as the Inamed Lapband System. With over 500 RnY surgeries performed he is ranked by the Mexican Bariatric Association as having performed more laparoscopic RNY Bypass surgeries than any other Mexican Doctor. And with more than 1500 lapband surgeries performed, he is one of the top 3 lapband surgeons in Mexico. Dr. Joya is a Gastroenterologist, in other words a stomach specialist and Bariatric surgeon. Not just any doctor qualifies for this and with training in the United States he guarantees the patient an INAMED lapband. This is important because once you get back to the states most doctors will not work on any other band. One final note, Dr. Joya has a network of more than 50 doctors to assist you post op for your lapband surgery. Don't go to Tijuan a and use a substandard hospital, come to Puerto Vallarta and enjoy not only the beach, but two of Mexico's finest and state of the art hospitals.

He has new prices! here they are listed below!

Lapband Surgery - ALL INCLUSIVE INCLUDING AIRPLANE TICKETS, SURGERY, TESTS, TRANSPORTATION, A REAL HOSPITAL AND HOTEL costs only $8000 us. NO HIDDEN FEES.

Laparoscopic RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery - ALL INCLUSIVE INCLUDING AIRPLANE TICKETS, SURGERY, TESTS, TRANSPORTATION, A REAL HOSPITAL AND HOTEL costs only $12,000 us. NO HIDDEN FEES.

Don't get tricked into going to Tijuana for substandard care, come to Mexico's Riviera, come to my favorite Mexican doctor, and have your surgery in a real hospital by one of Mexico's best doctors.

For more information visit his website: http://www.drjoya.com

Very truly yours,

/Jaxson Lee

You have no clue how high the standard of care was! Were you a patient of his or were you one of the many who went to Tijuana to have surgery with a different doctor. Dont talk about care that you have no clue about....

Actually, I think she was referring to your comments about the care/hospitals in TJ being substandard. Have you had any surgery there? Do you know what the care is like personally? No offense, but what you just said could be turned directly around to you.

I went down for my surgery with a TJ doctor and saw the hospital, it did not even have A/C and some people had to share rooms with other patients, and at that point I bolted. I would NEVER consider returning to TJ for a surgery.

Jaxson where in TJ did you go and to what Dr.? I'm curious about this one

I'm sorry but you sound more like you work for Dr. Joya then an actual patient, if he is that good then why are you here selling him like you are? That is usually a job of a patient co ordinator posing to be a patient. We see it all the time here and on other boards.

I feel the same as you La madam. In every one of his post and threads he sounds like he either works for Dr. Joya or is Dr. Joya. I also love my surgeon but I wouldn't advertise for him!

LOL, yes, I was referring to his words, thanks for clarifying to the idiotic Sarah hee hee hee. Ok, I hate to be mean (actually I don't really mind it on this one, but nice to say)but this guy posts the SAME thing EVERY post and has nothing really more to contribute. So as far as I am concerned, he is added to my ignore list and he can suck the fat ring around my belly.

Some things to remember about being a member of LBT.

When we all joined, there are rules and guidelines we all agreed to follow. One of them is to show respect for other members. This thread alone is going against that guideline. Everyone has a right to express their opinion. Everyone has a right to either agree or disagree with that opinion but NO ONE has a right to resort to name calling.

On LBT everyone is entitled to their opinion on any particular doctor good, bad or otherwise. Where the line is drawn is when it becomes an advertisement for that doctor.

There have been several posts with this type of wording and LBT is not the place to advertise for one specific doctor, group, or entity PERIOD!

This website will not be used as an advertisement tool for or against a specific, doctor, group, entity, surgery, etc.

There is nothing wrong with supporting, reporting, or suggesting using a particular doctor, group, entity, etc. When you list the prices that is where it gets dicey not only for LBT but for the doctor. In the future just make a suggestion of contacting them directly to get pricing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
