I had a fill last Thursday and since then have had problems with reflux - mostly at night. For the first part of the night (usually from midnight to about 3AM), I wake up every 10 minutes or so and 'catch' myself starting to vomit. Every once in a while I'll spit up some unidentified stuff (not food), but for the most part nothing comes out. During the day it's not as bad, but I do keep having a lot of small acidy burps. I'm on my 2nd day of mushies and have been very careful not to eat too much. All I've had today (it's 2PM now) was 4 oz of yogurt in the morning, then 4 oz of pudding around noon. Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

hi

yes i did....my suggestion...go back to the doctor right away.

i ended up with pneumonia because i didnt tell anyone i had this problem and ended up ingesting reflux into my lungs. it turned into pneumonia and took weeks to clear up

it was horrible.

additionally reflux is not good for the esophogus....long term it can cause cancer if left untreated

good luck

I had it as well. I tried reflux meds, propping pillows to keep my head and chest raised, sleeping in a recliner and not eating after 7PM. These things helped a little but the reflux didn't go away.

I ended up getting a small unfill and the reflux dissapeared completely. You might just need the smallest, fractional amount removed to get back to normalcy. Good luck and keep us posted on what works for you.

I just went through this myself and procrastinated thinking it couldn't possibly be my band. I hadn't had a fill for over a year (Jan 07) but went to check with the band doc and he took alllll my fill out. He has some concerns about a slip but if not, I can start getting filled up again next week. I felt immediate relieve with the unfill and have slept perfectly (and ate too perfectly) since then.

I tried all the solutions above mentioned in the other posts...just get back to the Dr. There are too big of complications to try to solve it yourself.

Best of luck.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
