Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Mid twenties to thirties...if possible?

Hey

Im a 28yr old female from NZ. Wanting to lose approx 60kg. (BMI 47). Am getting banded on the 2nd April. Basically wanting a buddy to encourage and reassure me that Im not going to drop dead on the table, help me to stick at the pre op and post op and just give me general advice and encourage and reassure me that the outcome is going to be a good one! I guess the surgery is a big scary thing for me - especially since I dont believe I could ever be thin and healthy because nothing has ever worked and I am freaked out I will go through the surgery and then this wont work either! :)

Good luck Lingling. I was banded on 12/26/07 and have lost 110 lbs. so far. Still have a long way to go, but I'm feeling great. I am 34 and enjoy all types of exercise now. I am a believer in the Weight Watcher plan and have used it since surgery journaling everything I eat and exercising 6-7 days per week on most weeks. My body demands that I exercise in order to keep loosing, but I love it. I wish you all the luck.
