I'm hurtin. can anyone tell me what to do?

Hi everyone everyone calls me Leen. It is short for my real name but I changed it to Lean because I refer to myself as I see myself in the future. anyway, I just had the lap band put in 4 days ago in Mexico by Dr. Lopez Coravala. The proceedure was ok and I woke up with that horrible tightness in my chest but thank God I felt 50% better by the first morning after and have been feeling better and better everyday. I had been drinking broths and apple juice and having jello but I got very hungry. But today I felt like I couldn't take the hunger and I ended up mushing scrabbled eggs (about 1/2 c) and a one inch cracker till it was mush, and then jello. I couldn't feel the hunger leave and still feel a sense of hunger! Now I feel that pain in my chest again. Is there anything I can do to help push through whatever is stuck? Like hot tea or broth or something?

Please don't eat! It can cause you damage. You may have hurt yourself eating so soon post op. Can you call your surgeon and ask? (a drawback to being banded by someone away from your home)

My surgeon stressed how very important it is to follow post op guidelines to keep from tearing the band loose before it heals well. I hope you didn't do that...if you are just stuck, what works for me is standing very straight, breathing deeply, and coughing. Good luck; hope you didn't do permanent damage...and call your surgeon as soon as you can.
