Help don't want (boink)partner to know

Recommended Posts

To say this as nice as possible...

Why the heck would you be getting it on with someone if you're not even comfortable enough to tell them you had the surgery.

My 2cents and sorry if you take offense to it. No freaking way my knickers would be coming off to someone who doesnt know me that well.

If you like science fiction or he does, you could tell him you are really a cyborg and that this is your download port. If he wants more detail, tell him it is beyond most humans ability to understand.

If you can't laugh about things, then move on to a new person.

When I started dating my guy (now my husband) after we had "done the deed" the first time I said, "so you are probably wondering about my scars"

"What scars?" he replied. He was serious.

He was having WAY too much fun to notice scars.

I say, don't sweat it. If you have some "fun" with a partner, have fun. If they are bold enough to ask about your scars, then say "oh, I had some surgery, no big deal" and shrug.

If you don't make a big deal of it, no one else will either.

Yep lingling, if you lose enough weight, you can see the lump where the port is.

I can see mine now. It's not very obvious, but you can see that there is a 'hill' where the port is lying under my skin. My DH can also tell where it is by looking at me closely.

I do wonder though if after my PS, if it'll be relocated deeper in, so it doesn't stick out. Though if it doesn't happen, I'm okay with that too.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
