This just isn't right! NOT FAIR!

Oh the pain..... oh the pain of it all. It was MY idea to even go to the seminar to begin with, although yes we both needed to do something.

But now darn it in a week from tomorrow he has his lap band surgery! :frown:

What is funny, is that he has NO idea! He won't know till he gets home from work today that he's all set and ready to go. That is just so not fair. :crying:

I think I've decided to go with the bypass. That is a good thing, but the bad thing is that I have just stopped smoking and have to wait the 6 months. I've got 1 1/2 gone with 4 1/2 months to go. Chantix is a wonder drug!!!

Does it really matter who gets done first? If he's getting banded and your getting the bypass, you'll probaly pass him in weight loss before a year is up. I assume your speaking of your DH and I can tell you if I were in your shoes I would just be happy for him. You know unselfish Anyway that's the type of marrage I have. And sorry to say this but at your age you should know by now life is not fair. I don't mean to sound harsh but I just hate it when adults say that. There are bigger things in this world that are not fair. but anyway I do wish you the best and try to be happy for him.

Another way to look at it is that he is your personal guinea pig. I think it would be nice to have someone I know and trust who has been there, done that. Support him now so he can support you later.
