Stop hiding from the cameras!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.. it has been awhile since I have posted I hope everyone is well..

I just had to stop by because I am always reading that people do not have a lot of before pictures because they always tried to avoid the cameras.. I just have to say we MAY have been heavy and maybe not the most picture perfect people, BUT we are just that PEOPLE and we deserve to have pictures and memories.. The good part about everyone here is we are doing something about it and ONE DAY.. we can look back and go wow... Look at me then and look at me now.. I ROCK.. I did a good thing and be glad you have picturoes of all those memories you have made with friends and family.. Our minds might not always be with us, but pictures can help us remember things we may have forgotten with out them.. I recently lost my both my grandparents in 2008 and all I can say is I WISH I had more pictures of me with them.. and I was not even camera shy.. I take thousands of pictures every year.. Some I am not readily going to show off, but TO ME they serve as a memory and will one day help me appreciate more and more what I have done for myself, my life, my child, and my family.. I was happy with my life pre band and I am sure I will continue to be happier and happier with it everyday now.. Sure I look forward to the day I can take a picture and not have to worry if to much roll is visible, but right now I will appreciate every available moment I have to capture memories I am creating with the wonderful people in my life.. I hope all of you big or small, secure or unsecure will begin to do the same thing..

ANYWAYS.. BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE...

SAY cheese AND SMILE IN 2009 .... :mad2::crying::lol::laugh:

I agree with you. I have always been the one with the camera so I didn't have to be in the picture. Now though I wish I had some pictures because they would show me how far I have come. Who would have thought that. Those old photos can lift your spirits when you need it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
