For anyone with an iPhone or iPod Touch...

I found this application called Lose It! on the app store. It allows you to set a calorie/carb/fiber intake goal for the day and track what you eat as well as track your exercise and how many calories you are burning and taking in. The cool thing is it also tracks your weight loss! It has helped me already and I figured some of you would be interested in it :bananalama:

And it's FREE!

That link will open in iTunes.

Hmmm, that sounds interesting! I'll have to check it out. Thanks!! Wonder if you can just use the exercise part of it? I could use some help with that.

My problem with all of the food/calorie trackers is that I cook a lot of fresh foods and make up recipes as well as use recipes from all over. Unless I enter all the ingredients into the tracker, I can't know for sure what my calorie intake is. It'd be different if I was using canned Soup instead of making my own. But I just don't have time to enter all of that in. Just the other night I made up a Soup based on a side dish I make. Great, healthy soup but I have no idea what the calorie content of it would be!

I enter in the recipes into The Daily Plate as meals and then adjust the portion size to be how much of what I made I ate.

Like tonight I made "Mexican Egg Bites" and I put in all the ingredients and, since I ate 2 out of 24, put in .08 for the serving. It works really well for me.

For an iPhone app to help with exercise, I have RunTracker. They are giving away a free version (or were when I downloaded it). It keeps track of my time, distance, pace, etc. and plots out my route on a map. I use it for cycling mostly since I run on a treadmill or a track more than on the street.

It has some glitches, but it was FREE!

I use ShapeUp and I love it. I've been using it for over a month and I'm still not sick of entering the details each day and I love the little graphs and calendar. I also use WeightBot everyday to track my weight I love that too.

Hey guys and gals

I have lose it app for my iphone and I love it. It helps me keep track of the things I'm eating and plus it tell me how many calories I can eat in order to lose the weight I need.

So if you don't have the app. try and get it is soooo useful; however if you don't have a iphone or ipod touch you can do livestrong daily plate online which is just as good.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
