What do you all do?

Hey All, there is a post in the The Mens Room titled "What do you fella's do". I have found it to be pretty interesting. So, I thought I would start the same thread for us girls.

I am an Accounting supervisor at a large creditors rights law firm in Cincinnati Ohio.

Kinda what I do...I am a histotech at a Childrens hospital. 17 years later and yep! its the best job ever!:tongue2:

How neat to find another pathology person :cheated: I've only been grossing for a year but it never ceases to amaze me how high the rate of job satisfaction is in the field. I might be cross training in histology in the coming year, at the moment I don't get any farther than loading and maintaining the processors.

So many jobs....I was originally hired as "Girl Friday" 6 years ago. Now I am Executive Secretary/Banquet Coordinator/Webmaster/Membership Marketing Director/Family Activities Director for a private country club. I think I enjoy the pressure of always having something that must be done.

And on top of that, I am the wife of a Marine and the mother of a 13 year old drama queen. (Also have 2 grown boys) In my free time (occassionally I have that) I like to redecorate our house, sew and read true crime.

I love my life right now. However, sometimes when I have a few seconds to think, I wonder if I stay this busy and continue to take on more and more in order to not have time to deal with the past/pain.

I work in the editorial department at a literary magazine, and am also a playwright and theatre director.

I am a Lead Business Analyst in the IT department of a very large U.S. Airline. Love my job, hate the constant uncertainty of whether or not I will be one of the unlucky ones who gets layed off.

Yea, I understand that feeling. We keep getting slower and slower and we are over staffed! SCARY TIMES...

I am a Nurse Consultant for the Bar Code Office at the Department of Veterans Affairs. We coordinate all bar code applications (medication administration, lab collection blood administration) for all 172 VA hospitals nationwide. Best job I've ever had!:tongue2:

I am currently a SAHM for a 2 year old and 8 year old. This fall I will be starting school for Health Information Technology. I then plan to get my bachelor's in HIM through KU's program as well! What a coincidence!

Will you be working on your RHIT? What part of MT? I'm a hop skip and a jump from Billings - can't wait to hear back from KU the waiting is KILLING me!

1. full time mother to one son (11 going on 40) and wife (husband is 36 going on 12)

2. full time electronics tech for a telecommunications company (if they are reading this...I LOVE my job!)

I'm a civilian working for the local Sheriff's Office. I run the county Jail Diversion Program which removes the mentally ill from the justice system or jail (if they meet established criteria) and gets them into treatment instead. It's federally funded through a grant, so I worry about my future employment as well.

I am a CMT, certified massage therapist, worked in a physical therapy office. I was their lead therapuetic massage therapist. I loved my work! Now, I am at home with my 2 young children, almost 6 and almost 2! I miss my job, but love being at home with the kiddes....doing all over again!

I have a great husband , he is so supportive!

I am a Domestic Engineer, Mistress of my Household, Dispenser of Fig Newtons and sugar free Kool-aid, Assembler of small plastic battery operated toys, Household Chauffeur, Therapist, Pack Mule, Translator of Toddler-speak, and full time Chef. I am expected to have the patience of a saint and a memory like a steel trap. I could go on but I think you see what I mean!

I work full time as the Recreation and Leisure Services Director at a Long Term care Facilty about an hour away from home. I am still working on my degree and have one class left! for Therapeutic Recreation, it is sortof comparable to occupational therapy, and im a single mom!
