6cc's - still no restriction?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how normal it is to have 6cc's in a 10 band and still feel no restriction?

I got my first fill on 1/16 - 3cc's, going for a second fill Monday 2/2

I felt some restriction for the first few days after the fill, but now nothing. I'm still trying very hard to only eat 4-6 ounces, but the hunger comes back so soon.

How normal is this? I just feel like I only have 4cc's left in my band to fill and I'm just over 1 month out....eeeek

Trust me - you are not alone. I also have 6cc's and hardly have any restriction.

I have 6 cc's in a 10 cc band, and had great restriction for about two months. But it's gone, and I feel looser than I have since I got the band. I got .5 cc added a few days ago, but that caused me to be so tight I couldn't swallow Water. I've come to the conclusion that fill is an art, not a science, and it's totally trial and error. Hang in there, and get another fill next time. You will find your sweet spot, and it might be closer than you think. Who would have thought at 6 I could eat anything, even hard crusty pizza, and 6.5 I can't even swallow Water?

(BTW, I do not have a leak. All my saline is still there - we checked. Most likely I have lost a bit of the visceral fat around my stomach and in my band, making it looser.)

I have 8. in a 10 cc band. hopefully will get a little more today at my reg 6 wk appt. I got 1.cc 6 wks ago and I more restriction than I did have after that. just past my 1 yr bandiversary. So It is a gradual change form one fill to the next. I have lost some almost every month. and some months I have been way tighter than others and it lasts as long as I am losing and then it is time for more saline. I have to be close to my sweet spot. I can eat about 1.5 cups and then maybe a slice of WW bread, but I FEEL FULL not restricted. This is where my dr says I should be. I can go about 5-6 hrs without getting hungry most days. I still continue to be be way tighter in the morning after waking, so the 1.5 cup food would come at the last meal of the day. So most times after the gym I opt for a frozen Protein Shake if it is close to bedtime.:cursing:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
