I've maintained an approximate 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) whopping pounds of fat loss. That's incredible. Just for today, I accept who I am. Most of you will think that 250 is way too heavy, but let's remember that I'm a giant at 5'10" tall, so 250 to me is like 200 to you.

Would anyone like to ride along with me on the Acceptance Train?

I've been thinking and thinking about this thread since you first started it DeLarla. I do think it is incredible that you lost and have maintainted a loss of 65 pounds and I absolutely support you in loving yourself exactly as you are. You are beautiful, you deserve nothing but happiness.

BUT.........

Gosh, I don't want to rain on your parade, but it worries me. I've been to that "this is good enough, it's too damn hard, I am OUT" place and it feels good--for awhile. It feels good until suddenly somethings too tight and I turn around and I've GAINED twenty pounds.

And the cycle of hopelessness starts turning...

So please--take a break, put your feet up and enjoy yourself but don't close your eyes. Swim cautiously, these are dangerous waters.

Or maybe I'm full of crap and this is the perfect place for you! :)

Kare those are the exact reasons I've decided against a band for now. I just truly dont think it will solve those issues for me and I can imagine getting to 90kg or so and thinking this will be just fine. It certainly will feel fine compared to now, but if I recall on the way up and through 90kg I was desperate, absolutely desperate about my weight. If the band gave me a 100% guarantee I was going to get right down to 70kg (when I was gorgeous, even if I do say so myself, lol), I would do it. But it doesnt.

We all need to be accepting of ourselves and love ourselves no matter what our weight. But to be honest, I have that now (even though I said I'm not prepared to accept my current weight). I dont need to lose any weight for that. I'm so glad DeLarla that you're feeling that because its a healthy way to be.

I've been thinking about this all weekend, and I just wanted to tell you how proud of you I am. I really and truely am so proud that you have decided to be content with yourself, just where you are, just for now.

I know that this is a phase in the process of "being here now." I know how difficult it is to live right now. Be focused on right now. Not on where you want to be tomorrow, where you want to be in the future. Not where you wre yesterday or a year agao. But to be here in the now. Not an easy task.

You have done well to decide that you are going to be happy at the right now.

I'm very proud of you, and you should be proud too.

Self acceptance is not easy for us. Especially those of us raised by wolves and circus freaks, not to take anything away from real wolves and/or circus freaks, I'm sure they are lovely people, honestly.

You go for it girl, you should be so proud of what you've acheived. You've done incredibly well, and you look great.

Its nice to hear you sounding so positive. You've given me such good advice and support since I've been using this site.

Keep going.

best wishes

Gaynor

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
