Hey all! I was banded on 1/20 so only for a few days. I'm doing great though, no pains just a little sore. I'm not hungry at all but I'm forcing myself to sip Water and Protein drinks all day. Other than that things are great, thinking about going back to work Monday and just enjoying not pigging out on every whim.

I learned today that I am an emotional eater BIG TIME. My hubby got laid off this week, and even though he found and has started a new job, he will have a 3 week window with no paychecks...so I'm a little stressed. I literally wanted to just stop and eat something comforting, but I KNOW it is NOT worth it. Nice to learn what makes you tick so that I can be more aware....but all in all, I'm staying positive and I know that God has a plan for us and that everything will work itself out in due time!

Take care New Year's Hotties!!

Ok it has been almost a whole month now. I am down about 25 lbs. and one size down since the 12/29/08. I had my surgery on the 8th of Jan. 09. I am still not hungry and I am eating about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of food per meal. I feel this might be to much. But I don't hurt at all. I have no fills at this time. I go on 2/16/09 to get my first fill. I hope it does not hurt.

I am in love with my band still.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
