Getting noticed

Recommended Posts

I have been told (by my wife) that I oblivious when ladies hit on me. Let me tell you, I have lost 65 lbs. and I can tell the ladies are hitting on me. I have been getting smiles from ladies everywhere I go these days. Some of the girls at Starbucks even make sure I get the sugar free low fat latte so they can "see me looking even better. The only thing that bothers me is that my wife just had her band surgery. Now guys are going to be hitting on her! I'm gonna have to hit the gym.

DH and I discussed this - but only because I saw this thread and asked him. He said he noticed men eyeing me etc (how anyone can detect a shape under down-filled jackets etc is beyond me though:rolleyes:). Anyway, I was completely unaware of the looks, smiles, subtle come on's when he isn't around me in a store etc..I still am. DH says that as long as he has known me (and confirmed by my ex - I just had to ask to confirm) I never have been aware of appreciative looks etc. I just think everyone is friendly and talks to strangers - I do!

I still have a ways to go yet in weight loss....maybe my awareness of other people's attention will come with that!

THERE IS A DOWNSIDE TO THIS!! While it is flattering to get positive attention, sometimes the attention is not so positive. I recieved an anonymous email this week from a "secret admirer" that was very off color. Almost like a what a stalker would write. It was creepy and gross. He went into detail about writing my name on his body, and him wanting to guess who he is. He wants me to come to him.... Ha! Not in this century!!! It was very unnerving, and if I hear from him again, I'm going to report it.

That is very alarming. I would make sure to trusted family and friends just in case something weider happens. Foward the e-mails to other people, so that everyone knows there is someone stalking you. That is just very creepy.

Yes I get hit on all the time now ...even while buying a ept test at walmart...classy..

Having seen your recent pics, who could blame them? Now, while buying an ept test may be pushing the limits of good taste, I'll admit. But, that is assuming any man has common sense around hot women.;)

I bet that a big part of this (not that you ladies don't look great) is everyone's improved confidence. Everyone that is losing weight and feeling better about themselves is probably putting out completely different vibes than when you were unhappy with where you were.

That's just a thought though ;)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
