So, it has been a while since I have posted anything, but I am in need of some feedback and support.

The day before Thanksgiving I became completely blocked and required an emergency unfill. I was freaked out at the thought of no restriction, but was in so much pain that I did not even care at that moment. Now the bad news.....

Since my unfill, I have gained 12 pounds!!!:tongue_smilie: And my doctor cannot get me back in for a fill until the 31st and when they do, they will only give me a small fill to start.

I have joined Weight Watchers to try to slow down this crazy weight gain, but even sticking 100% to plan, my body is gaining weight. Has anyone bee through this and do you have any suggestions??

Thanks for listening.

Hey Melissa - sorry to hear you're having a hard time! I've regained about 15 the past few months by my own doing, and because I've been going it alone since Feb (will write and update in a separate post about that saga).

It sounds like you're doing a good thing going to WW - that's a big deal! Just hang tight and remember that you'll be back on track once you get your fill again.

Hang tough - you can do it!

Thanks for the thoughtful posts. I finally went in for my fill a couple days ago, but they would only give me 1cc for a total of 2cc (apparently I had 1cc in there still). Unfortunately, I still have no restriction whatsoever, but I am just trying to tough it out until I can have my next fill onthe 28th. It really stinks, but in someways it has been a lesson that I cannot rely entirely on my band to get this weight off. It has become vividly clear that I was getting by entirely on the sensation of being full rather than making mindful food selections. My goal is just to make sure that I do not get to the 200 pound mark again and just maintain until I can get to that spot where I can begin my loss again. I REFUSE TO LEAVE ONEDERLAND!!!

Thanks for the support and I look forward to reading your update pizzi.

Wow - well, it's a step in the right direction. It really is a good thing they haven't been more aggressive. You wouldn't want to get stuck and start all over again!

Hang in there - you can do this! And keep the good attitude!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
