Can anyone help me out in Knoxville?

Recommended Posts

Hi there Bandsters,

I'm from San Antonio TX, but recently got married and moved to Knoxville TN. I am looking for some recommendations on where to go to get my fills. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to Knoxville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can get fills at Fort Sanders Parkwest with a Dr. Boyce. I think he is still located there. I also hear they are doing fills at University of Tennessee because they are doing the band there as well. Dr. Colquitt, also does them in Maryville at Blount Memorial Hospital. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much!!! Do you mind if I ask if one of these places is where you go? I loved the place I went for fills back home and would feel really comforted in knowing I could find a place with positive people who truly care about your progression. Thanks again! :smile2:

i live just east of you (Mosheim/Greeneville area) and I travel to North Carolina Fill Center (GERALD AHIGIAN ).. He is very aggressive with his fills and very competent... I am self pay and was banded in Mexico, so there are some docs/hospitals that will not accept me as a patient.

Fill Centers USA; 866-345-5872 - Just in case you decide to call....

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
