Austin TX : Need Jeans size 6/8

Recommended Posts

I know this might be a long shot because there does not seem to be many smaller sizes on here.

But I am 11 pds from goal and SO Do not want to buy clothes right now , Im waiting on some freecycle groups im on too , to see if i can get jeans there.

Im in a size 6 Old Navy Now and they are too big.

That might be a 6 in another brand ? Im not sure ?

But if anyone has anything they think might work i would appreciate it . Will Exchange back when im done !

I am also hovering close to goal........I have had lots of luck purchasing size 4 and 6 at the charity shops such as goodwill or salvation army. I bought a size 4 skirt for $2.00 and is a Tristan. Fully lined and everything. Good luck, it is actually a lot of fun to see all the brand name hardly worn items you can buy, and it is a good feeling knowing all the money is going to charity.

I am trying some thrift stores tomorrow.

There is one here called the Blue Hanger, a friend just told me about it yesterday . Its basically where everything that does not sell from Goodwill goes , EVERYTHING is $1.25 !

The only problem is you have to DIG and DIG through bins of clothes . But im ok w/ that for $1.25 !

A friend said the owner of the Buffalo Exchange has been seen there buying clothes for the Buffalo Exchange. So I might be able to find something there.

Thanks

MIndy

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
