tomorrow is my big day!

I'm a bundle of nerves!

My surgery was set for the 27, but I was able to move it up to tomorrow! That will be great for giving me more time to recover before starting back to school (I'm a teacher), but it threw me into a tizzy of getting everything (mainly my head) ready.

I've been alternately giddy with excitement, crying, scared, enthusiastic...you name the emotion and I have felt it.

This has GOT to work! I had to pay for it myself and it was a huge sacrifice. I read about the people that are unhappy or feeling awful and that worries me. Everything else has failed in the past. I can't bear the thought of people seeing me fail again!

I went out and bought my blender and jello, Gas-X, Flinstones, etc., along with "survival" food for my husband to keep him going until I feel like cooking foods I can't eat. The checkout guy must have thought I was nuts.

Please say prayers, send good vibes & positive thoughts my way!

Colleen

Colleen,

I wish you the best and I will say a prayer for you...you will do great, I am sure. This is your new beginning...new journey....new challenge....you will succeed!

Good luck, Colleen! I'm sure it will work...you have to work pretty hard to defeat it. My doctor did tell a funny story about someone (no names mentioned!) who drank cake batter! Cindy

I feel the same way!! my date is august first....happy, scared... I'm a fifth grade teacher, and I so wanted to be already opperated in the first part of July so I could go back to school different. One thing I have learned in the last few years is that God has his own time table and it does not matter a lick what you want. You are going to be fine, put it in the hands of the Man!

Good luck to you!!! Prayers, good thoughts and good vibes are all coming your way!

What is this "cooking" you speak of? :) I had my band on 05/05/05...and I STILL don't cook food I can't eat! I got way too tempted a few times right after my banding...ya know, Gotta taste it to make sure its good, or done right....We talk ourselves into the darndest things....sooo to elminate this temptation, I will not cook anything I can't eat! ehehehe....I don't know how to cook all that well anyway sooooo I don't think theres really a love-loss there...Hes probably thinking good the woman didn't cook! Im off the hook!! eheheheh

PLEASE let us know how you are when your up to it!

Best wishes!!

Hi txbldhnds! Tomorrow is my big day, also!! I am experiencing the same feelings you are. My head is not on straight today. I have made so many errors at work, I think they wish I had taken off today, also. Anyway....Good Luck to you. What time is your surgery? Mine is at 9:00. I will send positive thoughts your way if I am able to have thoughts at that time.
