I should've made it 2-2.99 CCs, so if you got '3' cc's you would pick 3-4 cc's, sorry about that.

My doctor won't tell us how much we have. He said that since everyone's body is different, the amount of fill that they need will vary. He doesn't want us to be able to compare notes in his office.

I will get 1 cc per fill, until we're trying to tweak it to just right. I got one... will get another one november 25.

I thought I was getting 1cc each month for 4 months. After 4 months I had only lost 1 lb. My surgeon came in and took everything out only to discover I had NOTHING in there. The fill nurse had been fired. He then overcompensated and put 6cc in and I had to come in for a slight unfill. Boy you can imagine my relief when I found out I didn't have any fill in. I of course had blamed myself for not losing any weight and all of my friends who knew about the surgery (only 3) were all starting to think it was my fault. Now I have lost about 35 lbs and am feeling pretty good. Now when I get a fill, the nurse leaves the needle in and I sit up and drink Water until I can feel it in my upper chest. Then she takes a little out until it goes down and I am good to go. I am very aware of getting the correct fill. I think I am at 6.1cc in a 10cc band. Sometimes you have to be assertive.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
