Couchto 5k Hip Hop Podcast-LOVIN' IT!

Recommended Posts

There is a guy in my support group that only does Water aerobics and he has lost a ton of weight! So you are on the right track.

I have not started week 3 because my knee is killing me. I never had problems before. Maybe I pulled something. I bought some liquid glucosomine, maybe that will help with my creeky body.

I just wanted to give you all an update since I had not posted to this thread in a while.

I completed weeks 1 and 2 without incident.

Week 3 I began to have knee pain (sever) that I had never had before. So I did not continue the workout. The pain continued through week four and so did my hiatus from working out.

I began taking liquid glucosomine 7 days ago and started feeling more flexibility in my knee and joints.

Sooo I decided to try to pick up where I left off with week 3. My DH, DS, and I headed to the park today and by the second rum my knee started giving out and giving me severe pain! I stopped running but continued to walk as a workout.

Now my knee pain is back in full force again. I think it's time to go to the dr.!

It is just sad because now that I have the motivation to complete the c 2 5k my body will not cooperate.

I haven't given up!:wink2:

I am so sorry to hear that. Yes, I think it is best to take a sabbatical from the program. I have not started because, like someone else said, it seems like Mt. Everest to me, however, I have gotten up to 1 hour every other day on the treadmill. Eventually I will get the nerve up to try the running program.

I've finally done it. I did my first day of the couch to 5k. OMG my legs were burnin'!!!!:tt1: I kept telling myself to ignore the burning pain in my legs and I did and when that woman on the Podcast said this is the last run, I had a sigh of relief. All in all, I feel good and am looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
