Help banded 1/08 and still only 10# down!

Recommended Posts

I will give you an idea of what I ate yesterday. I ate 1 crab cake at 12 noon. That was my first meal. I had a snack at 5:30p of cheeze it crackers. At 8:30 pm when I got home from school. I tried to eat a bowl of pot roast w/ carrots, pots, onions. I got about 1/2 the bowl down and threw it all up. I then fixed Soup to help calm evrything back down. The soup was hot and sour soup I made at home w/ an egg in it. That is a normal day.

Sorry you are having a tough time. I really think eating your first meal at noon is too late. You really need a Breakfast. It sounds like your metabolism has really slowed down. Also, it really does not sound like you are getting enough Protein. cheese it crackers are high in fat and low in protein and Vitamins. fruit would be a better snack. Also are you chewing enough? I'm not sure how much you mean by a 1/2 of bowl but I find beef has to really be chewed a long time or it will get stuck. I wish you the best of luck. Dont give up and keep us posted.

There also isn't enough Protein in this sample diet that you wrote here. You need at least 60-65 gm per day no matter what. Your body thinks it is starving and is holding onto the weight. Are you still drinking you Protein shakes. I am going on 2 months post op and still have 2 a day. My dietician says that I need them and I have lost 32 lbs in 71/2 weeks. I would beef up on the Protein so you body doesn't think it is starving

Good Luck

Sounds like you are not getting enough Protein in. You need 60 g a day to build muscle and lose faster. Read some books on low gi eating. I would throw out that box of cheez it crackers, those are the type of thing stalling out your weight loss, anything with high carbs and no nutrional value you need to eat, if at all, very rarely.

Crab cakes are also very little Protein and mostly junk food value. Try baking or broiled plain fish. No breading. greens, stuff like that is what you need to lose faster.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
