Hi, I was banded on Aug 25th and I have a 4cc band which was filled with 2cc. I can eat only a small amount, but I have been getting stuck, throwing up and sliming more and more. Has anyone else had this happen? Am I eating too fast maybe? not chewing enough?

Thanks

:crying:

Sorry I dont have any advise.

I have 5mls in a 10ml band and have NO restriction. I have been feeling pain as food goes down when I dont chew enough and can feel it all the way until it passes the band, so I would think it's casue you are eating too fast. You have to take a mouth full and chew chew chew chew until its nearly mush or puree in your mouth (thats what I think anyway). Like I said, I have no restrictionand could eat a house so I could be totally wrong.

good luck

Sounds like you have too much of a fill. I would try one of two things. Try to eat tiny portions. The size of an eraser on top of a pencil and chew at least 20 times. or have some of the fill taken out. If you throw up too much it can cause the band to slip and you dont want that!! good luck

I was having that problem also and I ended up taking a fill out. I don't know what kind of CC band I got cause my Dr don't tell me, but I have only had 2ccs and the last time I had another 2ccs and I was getting stuck with that. So He took 1cc out and now I have 3 so maybe I do have a 4cc band. I don't know. But do like everyone said To eat smaller bites, and slow down..Plus another thing my dr told me was that you may be getting stuck cause you are not ready to eat yet..Even though your brian is telling you that you are hungery, but is your stomache telling you?? You may not be ready to eat yet and still full from the first food that went in you..So maybe make sure you are hungery enough to start eatting again after your last one.

Since I gotten a fill out, it's been better. I havn't threw up or slimed. but now it seems like everything is going down easy. In a month I will see if I will get my other fill back. Good luck!

I've had my 4 cc band a year now, and only have 1.9 cc in it after two fills. You may be too tight, like others say. I would have your doctor do a slight unfill and see if that helps.

Your eating habits also have a lot to do with it. Eat very slowly, with lots of time between small bites, and of course, chew very thoroughly. Are there specific foods you have problems with? Try to find foods that don't give you trouble (NOT ice cream) until you can get this resolved.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
